Nice call blue lol what a horrible call to end the game wow. And sure is nice to see Jake Fox's minor league power has translated to WTP in the Majors.

Why do these god damned failures even bother clogging the bases? They know the next guys just going to fail anyway. Seriously, Piniella needs to go. He doesnt care and he has no answers. He doesnt want to be there any more than we want him there. Give me Tramell, Sandberg, anyone but Lou.

that was a garbage call, but 1-for-15 with RISP in the game. the lack of clutch hitting is killing us.

It is. An impact bat has to be added to this lineup somehow. I'm not sure who or where, or if it's even possible, but short of that happening and Aramis providing something when he comes back, this team is toast.

So.................the Indians series was nothing but an aberration?

It was at home.

And against some pretty terrible pitchers compared to Porcello and Jackson, and the Det bullpen.

That too.

I still just don't get why they can't seal the deal. It's not like they're being shut down by these guys. They're getting on base and then...what? Why is everyone forgetting how to hit with RISP? It's baffling.

This team doesn't have worst-in-baseball type talent, but they've gotten worst-in-baseball results RISP. There's got to be an easier way to fix that than bringing in an expensive player.

Ive really never seen anything like it, its mind boggling. I know Aram has been real good with RISP in his career, but my God he cant make this much difference.

The Cubs are dead last in the majors in BA and OPS. Yikes.

What? they're ahead of the reds, Padres, and possibly D-Backs, and that's just the NL. And ahead of SF, Florida, and Atlanta in OPS

This team needs to go on a vacation or something. I hate feeling so negatively about them. I've made smartass comments in game threads many times, but those were typically me being tongue in cheek. Now I am honestly very down on the Cubs as a whole. Gonna be a long summer

Right. This is making Aramis look like a Pujols-like player, and we all know he's nowhere near that. It would be one thing if they just stunk in general and couldn't put together anything against pitchers, but we keep seeing these games with 10+ runners OB and minimial runs scored. It's ridiculous.

I agree, but I'm stumped. The gulf between being able to get guys on and then do next to nothing with them has just gotten absurd.
