What makes me laugh is every Cardinals fan tries to tell me they hated him too. Don't give me that crap, this guy was acceptable for you and is redefining the word 'suck' here in Chicago. His OPS last year was literally time and a half what it is now.

 

While I realize people like talking about the whole "he's good in STL but sucks with the Cubs" story, let's not forget STL isn't exactly lighting the world on fire offensively. They haven't hit worth a crap in June and are sliding down the rankings. They have one super star and a bunch of slouches, whereas the Cubs have just a couple decent hitters and a bunch of slouches.

He's having a rough year, but John Danks absolutely isn't a mediocre pitcher.

 

He's a good pitcher with really good stuff, but has been very inconsistent this year. Correct me if I'm wrong but his problems start when he has control issues. The cubs have severely regressed their plate discipline this year so it makes sense he's doing so well today.
