Corresponding move not known....HMMM someone to the DL, lets hope its Patton

Edit: When I say lets hope its Patton Im not wishing him hurt, just that we would finally get rid of carrying pitchers who we never use. No idea who else it could be really, unless Sori is going on the DL?

Soriano? Miles? Bradley? The injuries are running rampant.

I think this move was anticipated as he wasn't in IA's lineup last night. I wonder if Von Joshua had anything to do with getting Fox back with the team. Jake has seemed to really take off under Von Joshua this year. I just hope that he finally gets a chance to play and contribute.

Probably Wadell. I hope that nobody important has an actual injury. I wonder if Lou has finally decided to give him the go at 3rd.

Forgot about Wadell, so thats a possibility as well. Honestly Id rather it was Patton

Has it been 10 days since Fox went down?

Pretty sure it hasn't been 10 days yet. Has to be DL.

Yup only been 6 days. We were carrying 13 pitchers werent we? You would think its a pitcher going on the dl, unless Soriano going on DL. I dont know, I hate when they give 1 part of the info, leave the rest for speculation.

The Chicago Cubs today recalled infielder/outfielder Jake Fox from Triple-A Iowa and placed left-handed pitcher Jason Waddell on the 15-day disabled list (retroactive to June 13) for evaluation and treatment of a non-baseball related medical issue.

I didnt realise that not being of any use to the team was considered a medical issue. If so, Aaron Miles better get to the doctor STAT

I understand you are joking, but you realize you are making a joke about the guy having some kind of medical issue thats non baseball related? For all we know the guy could have cancer or something like that, the jokes really arent needed in my opinion.

What if it's anal fissures? Then you'll be sorry you didn't make jokes.

true, But due to the timing, with 13 pitchers, brutal offense, and the promise, or at least rumor of change, Its hard for me to believe that its anything other than wanting to bring Fox back up, hopefully to actually put him to use this time.

Or twisted nuts. But it's most likely one of those phantom injuries, since it just so happens to be the convenient thing needed to a get a guy with a useful bat back on a team with a severe lack of bats after an ill-advised demotion.

Unless we were told the guy had cancer and then somebody made a joke about, there's no need to criticize people for harmless attempts at humor.

I need to watch more baseball. Who the hell is Waddell?

I was thinking the same thing...I move and don't have cable for 2 weeks and I don't have a clue who he is... Any relation to Tom? Hell of a pass catcher.

Here you go - left handed reliever Jason Waddell.

minor league numbers: 3.76 career ERA, 1.356 career WHIP and 389:152 career Ks to BBs

I doubt it. If that were the case I don't think they would have said something like non-baseball related medical issue, which might concern some people. I think they'd say something harmless like tired arm.

Maybe he caught the anxiety bug that's been going around baseball this year.
