Yup we are seeing the Randy Wells I expected to see when he was called up. Leaving pitches up in the middle of the plate, getting hit hard, nibbling around the zone. Get Marshall up

it was bound to happen. When you go out there thinking you can't give up a run or you lose, its gotta get to him. He'll probably be begging to go back to Iowa so he can win a game again.

Yes I am sure he is just dying to get demoted.

Sarcasm--forgot the green font I guess

I love that Hoff and Fox can't really ever play on this team that is desperate for offense, yet our no hit guys who are supposed to be able to field can. Even though they haven't really fielded all that well.

Give me a break. Every pitcher that takes the mound goes out there trying not to give up any runs. The offense sucking should have no effect on how a pitcher pitches, they still have to make pitches like they are suppose to.

Yeah definitely too good to be true for Randy Wells. I know theres a long way to go, but I'm about ready to throw in the towel on this season. Best of luck to Dusty Baker's Reds on the division. Or the Pirates, or Astros.

I just don't want the Brewers to win it. I am sick of their bush league behavior. I would pull for the Cardinals before them.

Well that kinda happens when a pitcher knows he has to be perfect because he knows his offense isn't going to score.

Thats not an excuse every pitcher that goes out there tries to be perfect when they pitch.

True, but when you know the offense is going to score.......you tend to do things you are not capable of doing and compounding the problem.

No you dont.

Mauer is hitting .418 on the season? Holy [expletive]. He's doubling up on like half our team.

This thread is quickly becoming pathetic.

Yeah, guys! Don't you know that the Cubs are fantastic and everything is sunshine, rainbows, and puppies? Pull yourselves together!

Why couldn't the Twins have taken Mark Prior? Seriously the kids a stud.

Because that would have been far less soul-crushing. Don't you know that?

Although if the Twins had taken Prior and the Cubs Mauer, Prior would have 3 Cy Youngs by now, and Mauer would be languishing in the minors somewhere.

Probably. I imagine we would have taken tex then anyways.

Same. The Cardinals' players are a bit more classy than Milwaukee's. I dislike the Cardinals as much as the next Cubs fan, but at least they can back it up. The Brewers haven't done crap.

I thought there was a glimmer of hope as recently as two days ago, but this team is really really bad. The whole team is slumping (save Lee), and are just way too frustrating to watch anymore.

You must not live in Missouri, haha.

The most frustrating thing about it is threefold:

1) Something needs to be done about it, pronto

2) Nothing major can really be done until the ownership situation is resolved.

3) Even if it would get resolved tomorrow, we still have a bottom-5 GM at the helm who would probably just screw it up anyway.
