Did they get him?

it was close, i thought he might have made it but there weren't any good replays

I thought he was safe live, looked like he was tagged from the replay

I know he's a pitcher, but does Z realize he can actually choose not to swing?

Or does Soto know he can?

Yeah, the replay *looked* like they got him. It wasn't the best angle though.

Yeah I'd say use Patton again but whatever

Z pinch hit for Patton so he can't pitch again in the bottom half.

If there's one team I enjoy beating, more than the Cardinals or even the Brewers, it's the Reds. Their fans are the worst. They're more interested in booing the opposition than cheering for their own team, and they're overall mean spirited baseball fans. I was at the game last night, and you should have seen the streams of "fans" leaving the park at the end of the ninth inning. You've got a close baseball game, great weather, a Saturday night, and you're going to leave the park? Classic.

Outnumbered, outcheered, and outclassed in their own park. Par for the course for the Redlegs.

SHUT THEM DOWN, CUBS.

Good lord....it took you guys long enough to break out! Nice win pending. Keep it up......Oh, 'yall might find this amusing: LaRussa put Ankiel @ cleanup today. BA: .220 HR: 2 OBP: .296. The worst hitter on the team replaces our Silver Slugging Allstar...AGAIN.

Think about that when you get down on sweet Lou! :banghead:

I forgot about the double switch

Soooo, Patton, pretty much a non-entity, is in line for a win, and Randy Wells, who has been awesome, gets screwed by his bullpen/offense yet again? Man, there's no justice

I could care less which pitcher gets the W; bullpen outside of Marmol has been stellar today

This is why there should be elecro-shock devices hooked up to every TV analyst, and the button pushed every time they mention W/L in reference to how good a pitcher is.
