Does a winning team have to make their starter throw 130 pitches because there's no one else in the pen that the manager trusts?

well lee is hurt and the other option would have been to PH a guy like reed johnson and then put aaron miles at first base. of course hoffpauir doesn't bat there if the team is healthy.

Lou, come on now. I try to defend you but there was absolutely no reason to leave Demp in there after 112 pitches through 6.

 

And I'm really trying to be patient with Geo but it's hard when he looks so bad. It's one thing if the results just aren't there but he's looking awful right now.
