There's really no reason for a team with this payroll to have a rule 5 pick on the roster. Unless it's a no brainer stud, Patton is not that guy.

Fielder walked

Hardy grounded an IF single to shortstop , Fielder to second

Patton in to pitch for the CUBS

yesterday they only needed to score 4.
