Braun needs to be drilled in his next at-bat. Freakin' bush league crap from this guy since he entered the league. The damn ball didn't even hit him. It hit his bat.

I was trying to stay calm and optimistic through the last rough patch, but I'm not seeing the optimism here. Does a contending team not have a RH batter off the bench who can hit for Hoffpauir? Does a winning team have to make their starter throw 130 pitches because there's no one else in the pen that the manager trusts?

 

 

 

I think it all goes back to management not DL'ing guys when they need to be on the DL. Sure, you're team gets weaker, but at least you have healthy bodies that can be put in. It's better than trying to get by with literally no bench and a craptastic bullpen.

Last year after Gallardo got hurt he said maybe Zambrano can get hurt for the cubs. I can't believe a former player would be so giddy about the thought of your rivals getting hurt.
