Demetri's played really dumb basketball today.

 

He's also a huge vagina. Lay down on the floor to get a whistle and immediately when they blow it he gets up and walks around perfectly fine and stays in the game. If you have to draw an injury whistle you should have to come out of the game.

 

Whatever, credit to Illini fans for showing up and taking away any homecourt advantage. Now I know what it feels like to be a Minnesota or Northwestern football fan. But damn that was the most annoying game I've ever attended. At least I can take solace in the fact that Illinois is a basketball school that will have gone 5 years without winning a tournament game. And you have a football coach who can't do anything but recruit and he's not even good at that anymore.

Oh and your coaches are idiots for having superior athletes everywhere but having a defense that gave us open looks from 3 so often. We hit them in the first half, second half we didn't have as many open looks but missed all of the ones we had.

Mike Anderson just can't beat Texas A&M. And Missouri can't shoot above 40%. This is frustrating.

I don't think I've ever seen the road teams student section out number the home teams. Actually I don't think I've ever seen the road team have a student section in high level college basketball.

 

That must be what being a Brewers fan feels like at a home game vs the Cubs.

They didn't outnumber them and it wasn't that close. It was like 100 vs. 500. The problem was that their 100 were louder.

I believe he was referring to just the student sections, not total fans at the game.

Will we ever get a maximum effort from this Illini team? We can pin a lot on Bruce but, for whatever reason, these kids lack drive and the killer instinct no amount of coaching is going to create it for them.

Watched your game at a bar with a ton of KU fans last night. I learned from them that Sherron Collins is overrated and is only good for about one three a game. They are very ready for him to be gone. I agreed with them, I mean I know I hate having an All American point guard.

your players are all a bunch of godless chuckers and your coach will never be able to win at a high level because his system is inherently geared to play like an underdog, even against teams they are clearly better than, which aren't many.

 

our players are young and lazy and some of them bad. i have no idea why they kept collapsing on defense, but at least they aren't [expletive] chuckers.

How long has Andre Woolridge been out of school. That is the one player they've had who was close.

i always took "chucker" to mean someone who takes lots of jump shots, doesn't make enough of them, and doesn't do much else (rebound, pass, play defense) on the court.

I define chuckers as anyone that shoots a lot without other skills, but I don't think lack of makes necessarily has to be involved. I regard Purdue as a bunch of chuckers (at least offensively speaking), and they make a lot of shots.
