Mizzou struggling against Old Dominion

 

I think ODU might be pretty decent. And not just bc they beat OU, who looks terrible this year.

 

I haven't had a chance to see them, and this game isn't on TV, so I don't know if they are doing a good job of stopping us or we are just playing terribly. We're only shooting 37%. Mizzou up 58-51 with 35 ticks left.

 

Mizzou dominated the first half, but they shot so poorly they couldn't get a lead of more than 15. Because ODU couldn't possibly turn it over 20 more times in the second half, the game tightened up before Mizzou held on. ODU is a good team, they're supposed to win the CAA and like Snood said they already took down OU.

 

Yeah, it's really nice to have a team/system that can win games with their D even when they aren't shooting well.

Iowa State had an UGLY 65-54 win over St. Louis tonight in Chicago. Couldn't get a shot in the lane to go down (Brackins excluded). Thankfully St. Louis couldn't hit a three to save their lives and it wasn't all that close in the second half. Depth is a wonderful thing. Northwestern tomorrow, which might not be as good as Notre Dame from an SOS standpoint, but at least I get to see it on TV.

I think you are getting Old Dominion and Virginia Commonwealth mixed up. Not that it matters, because Old Dominion could probably run the Sooners out of the gym too.

UCLA tied it up with 8 seconds left but Butler draws a foul with 0.6 seconds left........and Butler wins by 2. Nice finish though.

They're young, these kind of things are going to happen, come March I'm looking for improvement. If NCAA bound they'll blow a team like Utah off the floor, in fact, although it's small consolation, right now, I'll take the Illini 9 of 10 over Utah. Last night just happen to be that one game.

I am getting to the point of wanting a new coach. He constantly gets out coached. Last night was awful. Tonight has been awful. Quit pressuring out to the three point line when you are playing Cole. He doesn't have the footspeed necessary to guard like that.
