After a sluggish start to the game, I was impressed. 1st game Ive got to watch this year, and they are going to be a tough team this year, and a team NOONE will want to face come tourney time.

i don't understand why weber keeps sitting paul after paul does something cool. is he trying to say that he doesn't want anyone doing anything cool on this team? i mean, i know he wants to find out what else he has, and he has a lot, but i enjoy watching paul shoot and drive. richardson's pretty good, too. oh, and mike davis is a monster.

Weber always sat DMac after he did cool things in the past. Weber is a cool hater. Seriously though I don't mind him reminding Brandon to drive. He's a good shooter, but needs to slash to be completely effective.

i'd rather see him get to the basket than shoot threes. he's not jamar smith, he's so much more, the kid can get his shot whenever he wants to and he can get to the hoop like no one we've had in a while. he's big time. this guy is d wade.

Agreed. Snood underrated him a bunch when he was talking about Self not wanting him. We were lucky to get him locked up early on the recruiting process.

depth. that's going to cause some problems for other teams this year.

And we will be getting Bertand back here soon. Even more depth

I wouldn't be shocked to see him redshirt. We've already got 5 guards in the rotation, and Weber seems willing to go with Cole at the 3.

Yea I had thought that too, but listening to Gill tonight, he seemed to think he was going to be playing.

Depth at the PG is my biggest worry for Purdue with LewJack hurt. We have Keaton but after that not much. I'm guessing Moore will handle the ball more and will log a lot of minutes. Obviously if D.J. Byrd shows he can handle a press he could handle it some when both Moore and Grant need a rest. No matter how it works out we only have one PG and even he is a converted SG. Oh and Kramer isn't good enough of a handler to handle a press in Big Ten games. He's a good passer in the half court but isn't over agile or great when dribbling the ball.

Oregon State lost at home today.

To Sacramento State.

Sacramento State went 2-27 last year and had lost 38 straight on the road.

Nice job, Beavers.

Jesus, you're still upset about that? I was half joking and half pointing out the Self was aiming higher trying to get henry. Now Paul could end up being better than X, but X was considered a much higher-level recruit.

Not upset. Just saying I do think he was underrated by everyone. Not your fault.

Missed the game last night, I don't have Big Ten Network in St. Louis, and I was swamped with work last night. Only three weeks until the end of finals, but I watched the highlights this morning and Paul's dunk was sick.

Tough loss for Indiana 69-66 to George Mason. GMU hit a couple really tough 3 point shots late to pull away including a ridiculous banked in three.

So 8th place in Puerto Rico, 2-3 overall. Oh well.

The Pac-10 is so bad it's not even funny.

I wonder if Dunnigan wishes he would have stayed at home and went to school? Oregon is pretty bad.

haha. i remember arguing with you about paul vs henry. of course, henry is an elite recruit and definitely projected as a difference-maker, but so is paul. henry, at this point, has more pro potential and i think both teams will be happy with who they got.

but imo, paul was way underrated, and it may have been because he committed to illinois so soon. richmond has fallen too, after being nothing short of legendary last year.

Ridiculous banked three. Eric Gordon says "Hello." lol.

Yeah Richmond falling so far is a joke.

Apparently Dunnigan DNP in Oregon's loss to Portland. If he's not playing as a sophomore, you can bet he isn't too pleased.

Admittedly Bobo Morgan is still not getting into games as a sophomore for UCLA.

I think I read that Dunnigan is hurt though. But still, he and Liggins made great choices for their futures. Is Liggins gonna transfer soon or what?
