I don't know how much of this is true---other then Percy smoking pot---but if any of this is true, then there are two things to come out of it: 1. Percy is the dumbest person alive and 2. Florida has the best "cover up" guy in the business. Maybe politics might be of better use of this "cover up" guy abilities.

The person who is the PR agent should get an instant NFL job for that.

they deserve each other

your disdain for the SEC is hilarious. Most SEC fans could care less about your conference.

To be fair, most SEC fans aren't aware there's other football being played in the country.

I'm not sure how Michigan State ended up being one of Northwestern's biggest recruiting competitors this year, but if Tony Jones ends up picking NU today as it is rumored to be reported in the Flint Journal, we'll be doing pretty well against the Spartans. Paul Jorgenson, a life-long Spartan fan, was a big get, though Mike Sadler and Travis Jackson picked green. Not sure we were ever near the top of Sadler's list.

Anyway, Coaches Poll has Texas at No. 2 and Oklahoma at No. 3 to kick things off. Assuming OU doesn't slip up against BYU or at Miami, that should be a pretty [expletive] epic game. Can't wait.

You think ;-). I think we are 10 weeks away, also assuming Texas doesn't blow it at home vs. Tech. This might be the biggest one of the decade, hard to decide. I'm really curious to see both defenses ahead of the game.

First time PSU has been pre-ranked in the Top 10 in awhile. I'm accustomed to them being pre-ranked in the high 20's pretty much every year.

I wonder if their ranking is due to an overall down year in CFB. They lost quite a few people (Their top 3 WR's and a good chunk of the O-Line). Guess we'll see.

Assuming Tennessee can get past Western Kentucky, I'm very interested to see how they handle UCLA. Two programs who had rough years last season but are on the rise.

I'm also interested to see how Jonathan Crompton does in a more simplified offense.

9 of 11 Big Ten teams received at least 1 vote, indicating, as usual, nobody has any idea what's going to happen in the Big Ten beyond PSU and OSU this year.

Man, Oregon is over-ranked, imo. They have 5 new starters on their o-line.

Surprised Mizzou is getting that much respect in the poll. They're 9th in the receiving votes category, 1 ahead of Illinois. OH MAN I CANT WAIT FOR #34 vs. #35 Illinois AT THE DOME.

Once again Steve Spurrier didn't cast his pre-season vote for Duke like he used to. Looks like a tradition has died.

After his voting debacle at preseason QB, he probably forgot to vote all together.

I believe USA Today told him not to do that anymore. Kinda sucks though, I always looked forward to "Other teams receiving votes - Duke (1)".

I don't see what the harm was; it was something for people to talk about. It's not like a team getting one 25th place vote in the preseason poll has any effect on the BCS standings.

Oregon actually meets expectations from time to time, though. It's Cal that always craps the bed when they're expected to do well.

why? they lost a ton of key parts and are breaking in a new QB. I don't think they'll be very good. 3rd tops in the Big XII North.

Well damn. I must just like to argue w mizzou fans. I'm making [expletive] up now just to get into debates.

hahah

really though, mizzou winning the north again wouldnt shock me. i think nebraska is in a very similar boat to mizzou in terms of rebuilding. i'd put kansas as the favorite for now, but i dont think they are head and shoulders above nebraska/mizzou.

but mizzou could also go 6-6 and it wouldnt shock me either. for some reason i'm really pumped for this season, even though it could be a disaster.

I have no idea how good ND will be this year, but this is as excited as I've been about the CFB season in some time. I can't wait for them to drive up to Ann Arbor and beat the [expletive] out of Michigan.
