I still think we're going to bounce back from this and laugh about it in a few months....

....but if we don't you guys will all be begging me to turn back into an irrational pessimist.

This team sucks.

And they're getting even suckier, if that's possible.

Of course it is.

There is no floor to how badly the Cubs can suck.

So you're saying there are no depths to which this team can suck? Ah, you are a wise man.

This might be a good time to take up smoking. Anyone know a good brand?

Free Allen Trammel!

I'm going straight to the mid-afternoon drinking.

96 walks in 191 innings pitched - that's 4.5 per 9 IP. friggin awful. the orioles were worst in baseball last year, 4.34 BB/9 IP.

someone needs to fix this ASAP.

In partial defense of our pitchers.... walks seem to be up this year all over MLB. I wonder if they've put some pressure on the umpires to call the strike zone as it's described in the rules ????

May as well. I cant see any good coming out of this team with the possible exception of a decent draft pick, which will be wasted on another piece of crap.

Where are our walks in comparison to last year. As an offense?

if they are then they should start calling the letter-high ball over the plate, and as far as i can tell, nothing above the belt is ever a strike.
