A Web site called nepatriotsdraft.com posted a mock draft today for 2011. Guess who held the No. 32 pick?

For some reason they had Carolina at #5. I have a very hard time believing we could be that bad since our worst record under John Fox has been 7-9, and we've had teams significantly less talented than the one we have now.

No Andrew Luck in the top 10 is pretty crazy. He has a chance to be the top pick if he progresses this season. Didn't see a couple guys who I think are top-20 guys like CB Ras-I Dowling (Virginia) and RB Ryan Williams (Virginia Tech).

The WR class is going to be incredibly sick - Green, Jones and Baldwin are all legit top 10 picks.

I found it odd/interesting that Tebow, Berry and Dez Bryant are as of this writing the only 3 draft pick jerseys available for pre-order in your choice of color. The others that are available are only available in one color. Not sure why those 3 were the first to the store.

I can strong reasons for Tebow and Dez but Berry makes no sense.

And Floyd should be. If he really falls into the late 1st round as that site projects some team is going to get lucky. Although I grant that he has injury concerns that would make falling in the draft more likely for him.

If Floyd has another injury he will plummet and even without one his peak is 15-20 in my opinion unless he has an unworldly season and great combine.

Good, better chance Arkansas doesn't lose all of their junior receivers in one shot.

LeGarrette Blount apparently backed out of his deal with SF, and has signed on with Tennessee.

Wait really? If so the guy has more problems then I thought. Like I said before I was confused by the signing since we have two power backs already and drafted one this season but for a guy already labeled a headcase to back out of a deal shows a complete lack of integrity. I would assume the LenDale White trade spurred it and it is a better opportunity for him but wow.

he signed with a team that might actually get him on the field, sorry he spurned your favorite team from 2,000 miles away, but he made a good decision

I could care less that it involved my team. Like I said I didn't understand the point in signing him. However if getting an opportunity to play is so important to him (who isn't it important to) then maybe he shouldn't have agreed to sign so quick. It just shows he still is pretty immature. He should have seen that the 49ers have Gore, a 3rd rd pick for the year before and a current draftee who are all large, power backs and thus he had little to no shot of actually playing. He should have thought it through and he didn't. It gets back to his negative label.

you're right he definitely would've been better off getting cut in august over signing this NEGATIVE deal that will allow him a chance to play in games in 2010 what a fool i mean does this dude know he could've been frank gore's 5th sting backup? mineaswell invite all of mferwindermere to the superbowl once you sign that K

So he signed a contract with SF and then breached it or he just changed his mind before signing? b/c those are 2 completely different things.

rotoworld says Blount backed out of the deal with the 49ers.

but that doesn't answer my question. did he verbally say he would sign with them and then decided not to or has he already signed and now he wants out? the first may be slightly concerning (if at all), but it's not the huge deal Bum is making it out to be.

PFW says he never signed the deal with the Niners...he just had "agreed to terms".

I think Blount is a tool, but I don't blame him for making this decision.

Bryant is wearing 88. The Cowboys had a stash of Antonio Bryant 88 jerseys they just took from the clearance racks.

I haven't found the reason for Blount's change of heart.

It's the LenDale White trade.

I like the Blount signing for the Titans. Kind of a similar player to LenDale and he will give us a nice backup running back battle between him, Javon Ringer, Stafon Johnson and ECU's Dominique Lindsay.

i'm kinda shocked slow, useless Donovan Warren hasn't done the same thing, upon seeing the Jets have the best corps of corners in all of the league and he'll never get a shot to display his lack of skills

Sounds to me like he never signed a deal. If he had, the 49ers would have been able to just hang onto him and make him sit.

At any rate, I think the agent is more to blame here than anyone for not doing his due diligence to find the best place for his client. I really don't think Blount was the guy fielding phone calls and going over contract details.

That very well may be true. His agent is probably more to blame. I seriously doubt the 49ers would have forced him to honor the contract though. They probably would have just let him out of it.

He isn't going to make either team anyway and will be playing in the Arena League before long.

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure Arena Football doesn't really use slow, power backs.

Has anybody seen Tim Toone, Mr. Irrelevent 2010? Good lord, he isn't what I expected. Schwartz of the Lions called Toone a "white guy with dreadlocks, who looks like Jeff Spicoli."
