For those who didnt see the post game interview Lou pretty much threw Hoff under the bus and said he will no longer play RF when Bradley is out. Reed will be starting in CF with Fuku in Rf for now on.

Yeah, because the last thing you want is somebody who can hit in the lineup. Make sure Lee plays every day though.

i think lee will be getting a lot more off days this season

maybe by the end of the season lou will be running a platoon at first, which is the option i like the most...

What happened? I didn't watch the game.

Hoff misplayed a single for a two base error and two runs scored. I don't think anything else happened besides that.

It's funny. Bob Howry can take his 7 something ERA out to the mound everyday, but a guy with defensive inadaquacies in RF misplays a ball and gets to rot on the bench the rest of his life?

Yeah, Lou. Micah is the sole reason the Cubs lost today. Way to pick your scapegoat and stick to it.

I've got news for you, Lou. Bad fielders are going to misplay balls sometimes. It's a fact of life. Deal with it.

I hate to say it, but at this point in both players careers Lee and Hoffpauir are both platoon numbers. Everybody can see it, making Lee/Hoffpauir platoon at first base and you're likely to get a very good production at 1st base. Leaving Lee to be full time at 1st base and until we see a change the Cubs will get prolly less then average production.

So, LOU, if Micah isn't going to play RF, where else is he going to play? His bat is better then Lee right now, so let's platoon Lee and Micah.

Yikes. Lou seems to have the irrational emotions of Cubdom rubbing off on him. He's starting to sound like some of us fans after a couple-game losing streak.

He had a shot at a ball that one hopped the wall, but he didn't get there(not really his fault) and played it into a triple(his fault).

Play Hoff at first for at least a few days. I'm sick of this BS the last couple of days... shake them up because the way I see it, it sure ain't gonna hurt a thing.

Why stop at benching him. Let's take him out back and shoot him. Because everyone knows that even the most mediocre corner outfielders play stellar defense and never make an error.

I think we know why the Cubs scoffed at entertaining Adam Dunn this past offseason. He would have been benched on day 2.

one could say that the team wouldn't be in this situation if abreu or ibanez had been signed instead of LBB

lol good one

lol...good one...i seem to remember bradley missing a ball in the outfield earlier this year and doing some gymnastics taboot

ibanez is healthy and will put up better numbers than bradley this season

but, your right, why in the world would we want that on our team?

It makes a lot of sense to blame the loss on defense when the Cubs scored a whole 1 run...

I'd like to think it had more to do with the two caught stealing attempts.

Why make an out at the plate when you can drive one in the gap and get gunned down on the basepaths a few pitches after you catch your breath? That's much more fun.

I'm not a mathematician, but I've got 7 steals and 7 caught stealing so far. I think Soto could be pretty close to 50% if you gave him the green light to run any time he wants. Oh wait, you have be on base in order to steal. Nevermind.
