I REALLY hate that white trash douched bag... "bird man"

I gotta say to a guy whos a casual NBA fan, Chris Anderson is a pretty entertaining player, he obviously gives 100% and is pretty exciting out there. Plus he looks hilarious

Also to someone rooting against both the Cavaliers and the Lakers, the last two nights have been awesome. Essentially counterbalancing the bad karma of the Cubs games.

i was drunk earlier this weekend (and now) and was tired of seeing lebron run around acting like he's never made a game winning shot before so in light of this:

i made my own version:

Please. At least LeBron's reaction was natural. I'd much rather see that than Kobe doing his creepy MJ imitation that you know he practiced 5,000 times.

LOL at all you Jordan D suckers. Maybe all that "juice" has deteriorated your brain.

... Jordan only acted that way in 89 because it was his first series win ...

It sure was. It took him 5 years to get a series win meanwhile LeBron had already been to the Finals and won multiple first round series. You're only helping LeBron's case with that comment.

... LeBron is a clown ...

Why because he enjoys the game and shows it? Sounds like someone took a bitter pill. Shouldn't you call a doctor about that boner you've had over MJ for 20 years? LeBron can't possibly be as good as MJ because he smiles and enjoys the game ... blah blah blah. LeBron may not turn out to be as good as MJ but he has done more than MJ in their first six seasons.

Oh an in reference to the pictures ... correct he isn't Jordan. Only one person can be Jordan. He is however LeBron and may turn out to be better than Jordan.

If only MJ smiled and enjoyed the game.

Is there some way both sides could lose this argument?

there is a way and i think it has happened. i'm just trying to figure out which side sounds more inane.

Luckily you are always right, so it won't take you too long to figure it out.

James > MJ in individual skill.

WHAT?

Now I am about the biggest pro-LeBron, MJ fan boy there is, but this is stupid.

In terms of basketball polish and translating talent to effectiveness or as you put it, "individual skill," on the court, Jordan is still ahead of LeBron. The whole point of the LeBron-MJ debate boils down to the fact that LeBron is more physically gifted than Jordan and if he can continue to develop skill, maybe he can compete with Jordan.

seriously, in terms of "translating talent to effectiveness", Lebron's not nearly the most "skillful" player in the game; i'd think of a guy like Shane Battier or Brandon Roy, even Kobe before him

it's arguing semantics, but that's a pretty bad description

Not to sound like an old man but the game has changed since Jordan was in his prime compard to now. Driving and going to hoop isnt as phyisical as it once was and the refs are much tighter on the hand checking. LeBron never encountered a Detroit Pistons or NY Knicks defense that would beat the hell out you. LeBrons offense is completely different than the one Jordan played in. What would Jordan do with a offense where he was the lead on a pick/screen role offense in this day.

LeBrons skills are terrific and he is only going to get better as the team finds better components to surround him with. He is the only guy on the Cavs that create his own shot consitently and he is bail out guy. Jordan had Pippen to break down the defense, LeBron could really use a guy like this. I like Mo Williams at the PG but he needs another guy who isnt a spot up shooter. This is the only thing i think slowing LBJ down.

Coming from a Cavs fan, albeit one that is far too young to have ever fully appreciated Jordan:

LeBron is no Jordan. Although, it's hard to deny that he is more gifted, physically. LeBron is just absolutely huge. Luckily, he's 24 and probably around 3-5 years from his prime. Physically, he's probably at his prime right now. He's going to need to continue to develop his game more. He has already made enormous strides and I just hope that he continues.

Also, how ridiculous is it to try to jab at a guy for going crazy when he hit a game winning three with only one second left? Come on, give the guy some slack.

I agree with this. LeBron is so dominant because he has no equal athletically. He weighs supposedly around 265 is 6'8"-6'10" (ESPN or SI article couple months ago talked about this) but yet has the ball handling and quickness of a PG. Not even Jordan was so athletically gifted. However in terms of sheer skill i.e. jump shot, defense etc. he hasn't maximized his potential like a Battier, Kobe or Jordan has/did. Right now he is better than Kobe ever was IMO and very close to Jordan. If he reaches his full potential he can surpass everyone including Jordan.

It was called a joke, get your panties out of a wad.

Next time I'll probably make something about Lebron's little friend Mo guaranteeing a series win when he's barely shooting over 30% for the series against a team that is 1 second away from being up 3-0.

Orlando lived by the three earlier in the game and now they're dying by it.

OMFG

I was shaking my head when he let that go thinking it was a horrible shot with 6.4 seconds left.

That foul call is going to be talked about for awhile. Finally, bad officiating gets exposed. There is no way a bailout call should decide a Conference Finals game, I don't care if LeBron James is involved.
