Parks is great. May be sacriligious, but I like him more than KG.

oh for sure. Goldstein was never as good as he thought he was. I was pumped when he left BA, and then pumped when he left BP. Not a fan of his work. Badler and Parks - I like those dudes.

Yeah I'm probably on this bandwagon as well. He does a pretty decent podcast as well. Fringe Average is starting to be pretty quality stuff.

Yes it is! I like the hypothetical stuff they come up with. Like a couple weeks ago they did 5 minutes on "What would Miguel Cabrera's numbers in High-A ball look like right now?" Good stuff.

Also, Mike Ferrin yelling at his dog to shut up is surprisingly hilarious.

You've complained about his slang numerous times. Maybe just google it for once?

I did. nothing

It's a poorly written opening.

"That is to say" suggests he's going to explain what he meant by that opening line, but he does not do that. You shouldn't have to google translate such an opening.

Yes, full of want usually means envious. It probably should of said that the author is full of want for Parks analysis/insight/comments.

Parks always uses that hashtag #want on Twitter, so I think that might be what it means. It's still a weird opening though.

Translation: Jason Parks is a well respected authority on minor league prospects.

Did you really not understand that, or are you being purposely obtuse? Of course it's not proper writing style, it's Brett's style. It's how the man talks in person.

I did not understand it because it did not make any sense.

I agree with goony thinking the explanation for "full of want" didn't make sense. I think it's because he used "full of want" wrongly.

Usually, I feel like you'd say you're full of want for something. Eloy Jimenez? Full of want. That is to say, I'm full of want. Eloy isn't full of want.

But really, who cares?

It would have actually been a lot better if he had said he is "full of #want".

Right. This isn't a big deal. It's the most perfectly irrelevant Goony nitpicking tangent possible.

I just asked what the hell it meant.

Who said anything about a big deal?

Are you people really unfamiliar with the internet colloquialism "want"? I'm not saying I like it. I'm actually quite annoyed when someone posts "want" or "love" after an Instagram picture of a meal. But it makes sense.

I am familiar with it but not how it was used in this opening which is why I asked what the hell it meant.
