What davell said. I really like Parks' work.

Parks is good when he's serious, but he is too [expletive] annoying about everything besides prospects. Wish Ben Badler would take a bigger role at BA.

Parks is [expletive] lame. His prospect analysis may be OK but he is a [expletive] lame-o

yeah, he's OK, just takes himself too seriously and tries too hard for that weird twitter cred. When he's just talking about prospects, he's fine.

his podcast is really good- i like him fine, aside from all that #want #rig stupidity

Yea Fringe Average is pretty solid. Mike Ferrin is pretty enjoyable as well, especially as far as sports radio guys go.

Figured I'd put this here - 7 Cubs in BP's Top 101:

4.) Javier Baez

17.) Kris Bryant

25.) Albert Almora

45.) Jorge Soler

81.) C.J. Edwards

83.) Arismendy Alcantara

91.) Pierce Johnson

7 is tied for second most with the Rangers, Pirates, and Royals. Trails only the Twins at 8. Everyone's favorite team the Yankees had the worst showing, with Gary Sanchez being their only representative one the list coming it at 85. EDIT: The Brewers actually have none. Woof.

Also interesting is that there was only one (!) first baseman on the entire list, that being Jonathan Singleton of the Astros at 57.

The Brewers and White Sox had nobody, unless I missed it. I think everyone else got at least 1

I did miss the Brewers having none, but the White Sox thing is a type. They're listed twice and had 2, Erik Johnson and Matt Davidson.

Ah, go it. The Brewers system is a dumpster fire. I think any of our top 12ish guys would be considered their #1 prospect.

Having none in the top 101 is pretty damn rough. They better pray they stay healthy this year.

Both could be all-stars; Baez could be a religion. RT @birenball @ProfessorParks Better big-league career: Baez or Correa

I just keep trying to imagine in my head how much WAR you get in the modern, low-offense MLB with a plus-defensive 3b (or average defensive SS) who hits .300 with 40 HRs and average walks.

I'm guesstimating it at roughly a billion.

700 PA worth of his '13 stats (.341 OBP, .578 SLG) with average SS D is good for about an even 7 WAR

That seemed low until I realized that is a $40+ million season in today's market.

Doesn't 6 hit, 8 power translate to ".300 seasons aren't out of reach?" I wonder what Baez could do slash-wise if he had a season where he hit .300 after he's filled out.

Add a few singles to Stanton's 2012: 290/361/608

Ben Badler ‏@BenBadler 4h

Gleyber Torres RT @trevwolff what #Cubs prospect do you think breaks out next season?

Eric Pauly ‏@EricLPauly 4h

@BenBadler are he and Jimenez too young to spend the summer in Arizona?

Ben Badler ‏@BenBadler 4h

@EricLPauly They'll both be in the Arizona League.

High-end reliever RT @BrandonRYG What's a realistic projection for Arodys Vizcaino now?

Thanks, david. Not sure badler will be right on either count, either guy starting in Mesa or Torres breaking out. Of course, pretty hard to get recognized as a big breakout guy if he,s in DSL, even were he to have a really good summer.

Would sure be sweet if both of those guys flashed well this summer and looked like the real deals.

Are you saying you think he doesn't know and is only guessing that they'll be in Mesa?

I wouldn't know, either way, but I certainly took it as though he was stating it as fact.

Yes, it would be a shock if Torres and Jimenez ended up starting in the DSL.

Why? Most of our Dominican bonus babies have started there, including Frandy under the current leadership.

That said, it sounds like Badler has inside information that the current intention is to start them in Mesa.

I assume he is just speculating/assuming. How would he know?

Badler has an awful lot of contacts down there.
