Lou and Larry would be dead in the dugout if they tried pulling Lilly at the rate he's going.

I understand you can't take him out with the situation, but a 140 pitch complete game is a little much in April

When do you draw the line pitch count wise when he hasnt given up a hit?

When he gives up a hit or puts the tying run on base.

I agree, but I also wouldn't be surprised if Ted Lilly was a homicidal maniac, either.

It's Ted Lilly. He's been around forever and has been relatively healthy. I would think there's no reason to draw a line unless he starts walking multiple guys and inning and gets in danger of losing the game.

 

If it was a younger arm I'd think about pulling him earlier.
