I could care less who wins this series... but that was a clear goal.

 

You can see ice in between the puck and line... this had nothing to do with the officials it's the people in the war room.

I know people want the marquee matchup with the Wings, but I'd rather have the Ducks for sure! I think the Ducks are better than their seed, and to beat San Jose and Detroit would mean they are definitely doing something right, but I think the Hawks match up much better against them than Detroit, and plus obviously we'd have home ice advantage. I'm not trying to get too far ahead of myself, because the Hawks are in a tough series and so are the Ducks but if that matchup happens, I think we end up in the Stanley Cup Finals.

 

Lots of hockey to play though.

 

What are you smoking? Hawks only have 7 more wins to get until they play the Bruins in the Finals :-D

 

I don't want either of them... Lidstrom/Datsyuk scare the crap outta me... But so does Getzlaf :(

 

It would be a nice problem to have because obviously that means we're one of the final four teams. I'd rather play the Ducks too, but a Hawks-Wings conference final would be insane.

Tonight's game should be interesting.

 

I think Malkin will have a strong game after being rather invisible in game 1 and I think Gonchar/Cooke will look to put more body on Semin/Ovechkin.

 

If Varlamov stays sharp it's going to be another close one.

Why would Gonchar put the body on Ovechkin and Semin? He's not a physical defenseman at all.

 

But yep, super pumped for this one. I think it's going to be far more physicall as well. There weren't many scrums in that first get, I think the intensity and emotion is going to be way up tonight.

Little update for anyone who cares about the Hockey World Championships:

 

Finland beat Canada in a shootout this afternoon!

 

Wow Finland is on fire and had no reason to even score once this game!

 

Jarko Ruutu scored twice in a shootout...

 

Spezza had a goal and two assists for Canada while Heatley scored twice.

 

4-3 (SO) for SUOMI!
