Can still finish in the money if Oklahoma wins tonight and Villanova beats MSU for the title. Not bloody likely.

For being the regular season and tournament champ of what was pretty much considered the best league in the country - with the tournament seemingly bearing that out - I've never thought a lot of Louisville. They can be a nightmare to play against, but they also seem to have a lot more weaknesses than other top-flight Big East teams. MSU/UConn will be a tremendous matchup.

I'm pretty happy with the Big 10's tournament. A +2 already compared to seeds, a team in the Final 4, and a chance for more. That's definitely a successful tournament even though the huge number of teams with low seeds means a mediocre actual record (8-6 so far).

The Big East is a -1 compared to seeds but that's still pretty impressive with how many games they were expected to win by their great seeds. Two final 4 teams is also impressive. If they can get 1-2 wins in the Final 4 it will be a great tournament for them.

The Big 12 has also had a very solid tournament posting I believe a 0 number so far with 1 team still left who can add onto that.

The only thing that will save the ACC is a North Carolina title. They are at -5 right now which is just a miserable effort. They are also 0-3 combined against the Big East and Big 10.

The Pac 10 was subpar and the SEC was as expected terrible.

Where's loukycub? His absence is conspicuous after all of his bragging about Louisville and the Big east.

I must say that the last couple days of the tournament have been fantastic with Pitino, Calipari, and Rat face all getting eliminated. Now if UNC goes down it would make my weekend complete.

Interesting fact about the "Blue Blood" programs:

Since 1986, at least one of Kentucky, UNC, KU, Duke, IU or UCLA has been in the final four. UNC needs to win today to keep that streak going.

"really don't think that michigan state can slow down the tempo enough to stop us and i also know that our 4 guard monster can take any team out of the game. i also want to see state's defense against a non-offensively challeged team"

But I think most of us are surprised by how that game turned out.

Honest question here...Outside of Bob Knight's time, is IU really a power program? Admittedly, take out any program's #1 coach and they fall a lot, but UCLA, UNC, Kentucky, KU have all enjoyed sustained success under multiple coaches. Is IU really in that same class or did they get "lucky" with one coach (for a very long time)?

Hansbrough unfamiliar with whistles being blown against him.

Sucks to be playing against someone on a totally different level than him, I'm guessing. Then again, as the second-best player on his own team he should be used to it.

The non-Hansbrough Heels are off to a good start though.

IU had 2 national titles before Knight arrived there. That would still be tied for 6th all-time.

IU's really only had two great coaches and one decent coach in its history. However, those two great coaches coached the team for 52 out of the last 71 years and the decent coach was there for 14 years before that.

Because that matchup is the reason. As it turns out, Hansbrough is neither guarding nor being guarded by Griffin. I'm not pleased with that.

I'm going to kill Howie Long.

I understand not wanting to get a foul, but Blake Griffin is just standing there on defense. Put up some effort.
