As I sit and watch my 116 tabs refresh over and over for 100+ minutes, I'm trying to figure out why some get in multiple times and others can't get in once. I'm wondering if it's some sort of selective IP thing. Of all those reporting multiple successes, by chance do any of you have Chicago addresses? For four years prior, living in Indy, I was able to get my max 42 tickets within 20-30 minutes. This year, now living in Chicago, zero luck thus far. Where geographically are you all located? I don't think that's it. I live in rural Iowa. I got in 4 times in the first 1/2 hour.

My bad, didn't get my message edited in time. My point being, I'm NOW living in Chicago. Wonder if, for instance, blocking a Chicago IP address range from getting into the VWR could be their method of blocking local ticket brokers?

These are the arcane things that can go through your mind as you watch windows refresh for 2 hours. :)

4/15/09, section 38 row 9, seats 101 & 102

10/4/09 Bleachers, 4 tickets.

And I am done. Happy with my purchases considering my budget. Sorry I don't have the windows open anymore, the boss showed up 10 minutes ago.

I cut a deal with my boss. We switch windows that open up, and I can get Cubs tickets on his time.

I've gotten 5 games for myself and about 4 for him.

Still haven't got e-mail confirmation???

I'm still waiting for my 3rd and 4th confirmations as well.. which seems to be a trend. The first two came in immediately.

If I remember correctly this happened last year too. Being my available credit on my CC seems to reflect the purchase I think I'm alright

I ordered 5 sets of tickets and only got confirmation from the last one, but my credit card reflects all 5 charges. I expect that the rest of the confirmations will trickle in throughout the day, nothing to be concerned about.

I only got three games this year because I still don't know whether I'll be working at Wrigley or if I'll still have the lame job I have now, but I got good ones.

May 31st vs. Dodgers

June 16th vs. White Sox

July 4th vs. Brewers

Got the two games I wanted: April 19th vs the cardinals and June 21st vs the Indians.

I got through but couldn't get anything I wanted. There will be plenty of opportunity to get tickets later in the season, so I'm not bummed.

it's interesting to see the seemingly lack of interest in buying tickets this year compared to other years. i can remember in '04 it was crazy trying to get tickets, this thread was like a 100 pages long.

i guess a bad economy and now anti-climatic regular seasons will do that.

All-in-all I'm pretty happy. We celebrate my son and my birthdays the 3rd weekend of April and then my buddies and I go up to Wrigley that Sunday. We really don't have much wiggle room since 2 of them fly up from Florida. With that game being St Louis we were all pretty concerned about what kind of tickets (if any at all) we could get. I lucked out around 10:30 and scored 4 seats 11 rows up from the Cubs bullpen. Then ended up getting back into the purchase screen at 11 to buy Saturday Cleveland tickets for my wife and I. A half hour of the "too busy" screen later, I got booted back to the VRW. I was pissed. Luckily just as I was shutting down the IE tabs, I noticed that I had gotten in on my only open FF window. Nothing but crap was left for Saturday so I went ahead and got 2 seats in the NA 101 section about 12 rows up.

I haven't sat down the 3rd base line in a few years (and then it was in Sept.) I think I remember that side of the field getting the shade first. Can anyone confirm? Even though we've moved from Florida, the wife isn't too fond of sitting in the June sun...

That is too funny. Same two games I got. (Wanted the June 20 Indians game but got the 21st.)

On another note, it looks like Cleveland is going to be the first non-WS IL series to sell out... I am debating the pros and cons of trying to grab a set of tickets for that Saturday Arizona game in October.
