Cubsaz.com has updated their Spring Training Photos...

A preview photo here (Kevin Gregg):

Interesting that that page said Fox was taking some grounders at third. I wonder if he would be passable as a backup CI?

Has anyone heard if they are going to bring in someone else to audition for backup MI or is Fontenot going to be the only backup SS?

Fox played 3b 2 years ago when I saw him play for Tennessee. In the four games, I watched he played first, third, and left.

That ended up being the only game Fox played at third in 2007. Then last year he played 3 games there.

I can't see how Fox could possibly make the team. The Cubs didn't want him as an extra pinch-hitter last September when there were no roster restrictions. That would be quite a turnaround for them to suddenly have enough confidence in him to be a pinch-hitter and backup positions defensively.

I could see Fox making the team out of camp if he hits well. Remember the Cubs still haven't signed a player to back up 1B and 3B. If they can't find one, I bet Fox is their contingency plan.

If you wanna get down, get down on the ground -- COCAINE!!!!!

I'm with you with Leon. I was not happy about Grace taking over for a power hitting left handed stud like Leon Durham.

I wasn't happy that he took Bill Buckner's place, I'm 40, but boy do I feel old reading this. Billy Buck was the last player from my childhood who still played for the Cubs.

My fav Buckner memory was him stepping on Gary Carter's face mask and then getting into a fight with Carter. I hate Gary Carter.

Gary Carter is the only person who doesn't hate Gary Carter. Despite not being old enough to see him play, I am a Buckner fan myself as well.

I wish Gregg would get contacts or Lasik surgery.

couldn't agree more. for some reason, those glasses just piss me off and make me dislike him.

At least he's not Chris Sabo.

We're starting to get the videos up. First one is available now-its just a short clip of the guys warming up and having a catch, but it's a start. We'll be (hopefully) putting more together as the day goes on. I did a walk through of Fitch Field so that everyone who's never been here might get a chance to see it. Hopefully, that'll be next.

Didn't even notice that I wrote it that way. I guess Len Kasper is more insidious than I had originally thought.
