This is beyond ridiculous. Im to the point I hope he comes back and is brutal, or he comes back and gets hurt in his 1st game, knocking him out for the year. Get over yourself

I predicted he'd be back after two-a-days ended. Maybe it will be a little later, but I still think he'll be there sometime this season.

Just when we all though Brett Favre was done and calling it quits for good

LOL, speak for yourself, AC.

Yeah, really.

goony was right with the timing. I thought he'd come back a little later in the year as soon as the Vikes had a QB controversy. Why else would he still continue to work out after he said he was "retired?"

The guy's the definition of a douche.

yeah i didn't know if it would be the vikings, but i assumed that if he was entertaining thoughts of coming back despite his 37th decision to retire, he'd just go the vinny testaverde route and come back when someone's QB got hurt.

if this was the brett favre of 5 or 10 years ago, i could understand bending over for him, but he's really not that great any more and he's just a distraction. go play backyard football in your wranglers and leave us alone.

Who's ready for some fun news about the Oakland Raiders?

Apparently head coach Tom Cable punched defensive assistant Randy Hanson a couple weeks ago, sending Hanson to the hospital with a broken jaw.

That just screams FOOTBALL to me. Well done. I wonder what Hanson did?

I have to think Glazer had some angle he was working by putting this out there. Why didn't he write this piece after he actually visited the Vikings training camp? The one quote was that some unnamed player said it was a done deal and would happen right after the Colts game. That was Friday, he wrote this Monday.

Childress, Bevell and the front office keep saying it's all over and they had that talk with the team when camp opened. I just get the feeling Favre or his people had Glazer put this out there to see what the reception would be or if the Vikings would reach out to him or something.

I don't deny there might be some angle, but do you really think Glazer would let himself be co-opted by Favre and his agent for their little fishing task? That would make him really stupid.

Pretty exciting finish to the MNF game. Cantwell was hit by a Giant lineman picked off by another GMan lineman (can't recalled the name), who return the pic for the six for the final play of the game.

There's no such thing as an exciting finish to a preseason game. The stadiums are empty and the guys who are playing are going to be cut in a couple days. I still can't believe NFL network stuck with the Detroit game until the end and missed the beginning of the Bears game, since the only thing people care about with these things are the first couple series.

Of course he is! All the hard work is now over!

Hahahah, what a douchebag. At least come out and admit you just don't want to do the offseason work anymore.

Ugh this pisses me off.

This could completely divide the locker room and sabotage the season.

I was fine with it until he made the decision to retire again before training camp. Then the coaches said it was dead. Now that camp is over and he wants to come back (which I expected) they do a 180 and accept it? That's bunk. Good luck getting that locker room to ever trust and buy in now Childress.

Mommy, please make the man stop.

He is now officially dead to me.

Brett, I hope you get the Brady treatment your first game, blow out your knee or break your leg or something and I never see you on a football field again. Go away. Go away forever. Don't die, just don't be around anymore.

Jaws apparently says the Vikes are the team to beat and Gruden is echoing that.

I don't see it. I was saying before he "retired" that I thought he had more upside and could have bought into that. Now I just see more downside. He missed camp, the locker room was told he wasn't coming and now they know that he's being treated on a level above everyone else.

The only thing that would make it okay with me is if Rosenfels' injury is more serious than initially looked. He hasn't practiced the last couple days. And Jackson has looked awful since his injury.

Hahahahahahahaha!

This is great. Just great.

I was on the fence about getting Sunday Ticket, but this pushes me over. I will watch him get his ass kicked every week!

It sounds to me like it was an open secret in the locker room that he would join the team after training camp. Guys knew it, and knowing who their QB options were, they were probably happy about it.
