I wish I were a baseball player. His ex-girlfriend is pretty hot and he looks like a frog.

On the downside, the whole AIDS thing.

I'm not saying I want to be Robbie Alomar. I'm just saying I wish I were a MLB player. It's a guarantee for hot tail.

Pick up a guitar. Guitar > baseball for tail.

probably better for AIDS acquisition too.

If you're a heterosexual male, it's pretty hard to get AIDS.

LOL

Care to elaborate?

Oh come on, do you seriously believe that it's hard to get AIDS as a heterosexual? That's pretty ignorant. AIDS is transmitted through blood or sex, whether it be heterosexual or homosexual.

That's a silly thing to say.

It's a true thing to say. Especially if you're a white, hetero male.

Poor Roberto Alomar. He never stood a chance

It's true. Heterosexual males have much lower transmission rates than women or homosexuals.

Firstly, the odds that the average American heterosexual male will have sex with an HIV-positive woman are relatively slim.

Secondly, even if a man has unprotected vaginal intercourse with an HIV-positive woman there's about a 1 in 500 chance he will contract HIV, according to current estimates. These are not odds I would ever play around with, but for a heterosexual male there is not a blood-blood or mucous membrane-mucous membrane contact in vaginal intercourse the same way there is in anal sex.

The AIDS epidemic in Africa exists in large part because a lot of African women who have HIV have children who are born with HIV. Some of those children are males. Those males have unprotected sex with women, who then get HIV and have children. A lot of these individuals don't know they are HIV-positive and it spreads. And yes, sharing hypodermic needles doesn't help either. Don't make stupid claims.

For a heterosexual male to get HIV through vaginal intercourse, he has to be either incredibly unlucky or have a lot of unprotected sex with a lot of HIV-positive women.

Reality needs to shut up and be more PC.

it has nothing to do with being a heterosexual male as opposed to anything else. it has to do with the kind of activities you're engaging in.

Well, without getting into semantics, I think it's assumed that your sexuality and gender will go a long way toward deciding what activities you are performing. Obviously, there are a few exceptions.

It's pretty hard for a man to participate in "receptive vaginal-penile intercourse."

Wow, I guess the 1 in 500 I heard from my professor was generous. That CDC source says it's 5 in 10,000.

And yes, the average heterosexual male will not have receptive anal intercourse or insertive anal intercourse (possible, but certainly not "average"). The two riskiest sexual activities a male can engage in for contracting HIV.

Let's not forget the stigmas associated with condom use and the prevalence of "dry sex" as important roadblocks in preventing the spread of HIV and AIDS in Africa

Someone needs to teach the folks at the CDC about reducing fractions.

Someone already did. How do you think it went down from 50 in 100,000?

Right. Straight, white males are less likely to get it for social reasons. Not biological. I hope no one thought that was what I was saying.

We just do less unprotected sex, anal sex, intravenous drug use or aids baby birthing.

Haha yeah, and for a male to receive oral sex it was "0.5 out of 10,000."
