Anyone wondering (like me) where our boy Mark Prior is going to end up - if anywhere.

Yankees or Red Sox. They're the only ones who can afford to take the gamble. If he can still pitch, that is.

Yeah, I have been keeping my eyes open. I'd suggest signing him to a rehab contract, but I'm sure that bridge is burned.

I'd rather sign him for 4.9 mil the next two years than Aaron Miles, but that's me.

An honest to goodness shame. When he was on, he was one of the most intricate and talented baseball players I have seen play.

I wish Prior all the best, but he was the most disappointing Cub in recent memory. I remember last year wanting Hendry to sign him for one more year, for the chance that he would be healthy...... :-)) :-))

Seriously? That'd likely be a complete waste of $5 million. Not that Miles isn't, but at least he can cover 2B.

I think his point is that Miles is guaranteed to be a waste of $5 million, whereas there's the slight possibility that Prior could regain some level of his old form.

I would go and heckle him if he signed there.

Good idea. Here's a couple suggestions:

"Hey Prior, way to have your career tragically cut short because Dusty Baker drove you into the ground."

"Hey Prior "

"Hey Prior, you're richer, better looking, and better educated than I!"

"Hey Prior, what's it like to play baseball for a living!"
