  1. Sheets is a poor consolation prize for not getting Peavy. That said, I'd still take him in a heartbeat. Provided they don't sign him to a long-term deal.
  2. Very clever. Putting words in my mouth is an excellent way to win an argument.
  3. Eh, I kind of like Tebow. Plays hard, has a lot of heart. I don't know if his style of play will translate into NFL success, but for now he's a beast. I'd probably like him less if I wasn't so desensitized to athletes praising God after every game.
  4. I don't think you know what the word "hyperbole" means.
  5. Yes, that's exactly what I said. Minus all the hyperbole... Invariably, it will happen. When you have a bunch of injury-prone players, at some point during the regular season it all comes to a head. That's when you NEED a guy like Mark DeRosa.
  6. I think one of them is a watch, but I'm not sure.
  7. Quite the opposite. I'm just trying to guilt them into leaving me alone. It was a preemptive counterattack.
  8. You'll be singing a different tune when Bradley, Soriano, and Ramirez all go on the DL.
  9. Pretty much every fastball is a meatball, but when your changeup is that good, it doesn't really matter. A good changeup is probably the most effective and undervalued pitch in baseball. And, of course, I'll be flamed for saying that by the usual crowd.
  10. In a retirement home. Seriously, he looks old.
  11. Ew, Mike Hampton? Why don't we just get Mark Prior again and see how that works out...
  12. That's because Theo Epstein is a good GM while Hendry is not.
  13. Legends like Bill Mazeroski, Tony Lazzeri, and Joe Gordon?
