ole miss is NOT on tim tebow's schedule....

i think usc loses to Ohio State

LOL, I don't

USC is losing a lot of their defense and Pryor is going to be a lot better next year, plus it's in Columbus. The game is going to be much, much closer than this years and I wouldn't be surprised to see Ohio State win.

I think USC would win, but I wouldn't rule out OSU pulling off the upset.

So Percy Harvin was playing on Thursday with a high ankle sprain and a hairline fractured leg. Ouch.

anyways:

Gator DC Charlie Strong expects MLB Brandon Spikes to return for his senior year.

Percey Harvin is leaning towards coming back for his senior season: "I’m leaning towards coming back, but I haven’t made the final decision yet"

If all three come back, the Gators are going to be loaded.

From what I've been hearing, LSU is supposed to have a very good recruiting class coming in.

Top 3 in the nation, but I think they were last year too.

Very good one. There ought to be a pretty good quarterback battle this spring between Jordan Jefferson and incoming Russell Shepard. He's arguably the best pure dual threat QB prospect to come out of the South since Vincent Young. The two remind me a lot of each other. He runs a legit 4.4 as a QB presently, and has good feel for the passing game. Most recruiting sites say he's a bigger playmaker running the ball than Pryor and much further along in the passing game. Missing out on Debose hurts, the Tigers still lack a big playmaker down the field in the passing game.

Probably going to be the #1 class unless someone loads up on signing day, USC and Texas have outside shots. If LSU gets Randle, they are #1 no matter what anyone else does.

No, but it's a lot higher than 44%. And I went 10-1 on picks where we differed. 10 and 1.

yeah, that damn coin I flipped to pick my games wasn't as accurate as MS Excel 2007. i'm as shocked as you are.

Vance, I hate to admit this, but I really like LSU's class, especially Chris Davenport. He will be a stud (he try to recruit Danny Lee Jesus Fluker to LSU, after watching Fluker dominate Okafor at practice during the Army AA week). To me, Russell Shepard is an interesting case...in some ways he is VERY MUCH like Ryan Perrilloux in that he has a big talent along with a big mouth (RP's 4 Heisman Trophy comment .v. RS's going to beat out Jefferson comment) but then again that is the age old battle between confidence and cockiness. We'll see which road RS takes from here on it. Like I said, I really like Chris Davenport. NOT to try promote my team, but LSU is getting one helluva fight for Randle and perhaps even Janzen Jackson from Alabama. Now I do ***expect both to end up at LSU***, but if there is a coach to land Rueben Randle it is everyody favorite villian. But again, I expect Randle and Jackson at LSU. I also think getting Shepard's cousin Loston is a coup for Less Miles. Ultimately, in three yrs, I think LSU fan's will look back and agree that Chris Davenport will be the best player out of this class even over Randle, Loston, Shepard, and Jackson.

With that said, LSU/Bama/Florida is having a battle for best class in the SEC, in that order.

Real men hang their hat on the GMAC Bowl.

USC/OSU. I think a lot depends on if Sanchez enters the draft. OSU is losing their fair share of important talent too(Boone, Jenkins, Lauranitis, Wells, Robiskie). Pryor will need to improve his passing skills as they can't lean on Herron like they did with Wells. They will probably be running a little different offense too. Both teams will be preseason top 10.

Looks like USC has the tough draw of Oregon St. and Stanford again next year. No way they survive that gauntlet.

I see your Illini took Western Michigan off their schedule - must not want to suffer the embarassment of losing to them again.

But they did add perennial football power Illinois State and the always dangerous "TBA" - must be tough deciding if you want to play Eastern Illinois or Lousianna-Lafayette again.

way to knock him down a peg there, front runner. i'm sure he didn't realize usc was better than illinois until you just delivered that knock out blow. well played.

Then maybe he shouldn't have tried to bash the Trojans.

name 15 current trojans players without using a magazine/internet

we won't hold our breath here

who is harder to take seriously, meph as a gators fan or VoR as a usc fan?

at least meph actually follows college football

of course, on the other hand, voice of reason presumably actually lives in the state of california

i'd say the fact that we're comparing them says it all
