Seriously, another loss to OU is going to make me go crazy.

I'll probably miss the beginning of the game because I'll be working. I just hope we're competitive.

I'll be cheering for you guys this week.

Appreciate it. Can we borrow your defense?

If it was that simple, yes! And you can borrow Muschamp for the week too.

So for some reason is Mizzou were to beat up OU, who would join the winner of Florida/Bama in the NC game? USC? It will probably be Texas but they didn't even win their conference (albeit by screwy rules). It should be USC

I'm going to the MAC title game. Should be a nice coronation.
Heard anything more lately about the possibility of BSU vs. BSU? Is there still a chance, or does it seem to be dead?

I don't care if Texas didn't win their conference, they absolutely would belong there ahead of USC.

So, then, hypothetically, if Oregon State beats Oregon yesterday, your pool of national championship possibles (other than the SEC champ) consists of Missouri, BC, Cincinnati, Oregon State, Utah or Penn State?

I'm of the opinion that it should be the two best teams, regardless of conference finish.

The sideline reporter of the Boise/Fresno game said that if Ball State doesn't agree to come to Boise, they'll probably go play TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl. The Independence Bowl is out there as a possibility, though, if Boise is willing to do this on a neutral field.

Why USC ahead of Penn State?

Yeah, there's not much of anything different between their resumes.

Could the Humanitatian Bowl even invite Ball State, though? There are 10 ACC teams that are bowl-eligible, so I'm under the impression one of them would have to be invited (since the Humanitarian Bowl is supposed to be WAC vs. ACC).

The ACC contract with the Humanitarian is supposed to expire next year and the scuttlebutt is that they'd be willing to break the contract a year early if they could get the BSU Bowl done. The ACC team that would've gone there would go to a different bowl.

Both columnists in ESPN.com's weekly bowl projections are now projecting North Carolina State as an opponent for Ball State in the Motor City Bowl. Its supposed to be MAC vs. Big 10, but with Ohio State expected to get an at-large BCS bid and everyone else in the Big 10 moving up a rung that would leave them one qualifier short when it comes to the Motor City Bowl.

That's the bowl most likely to have the BSU v. BSU game. Rick Chryst the MAC Commish said he is talking to WAC commish and Motor City Bowl guys to get it done but Boise is resisting because they want it to played at their home field (sound scared to me). Both schools are in talks right now and Ball State has already said no to playing it in Boise. It's still unlikely but its really up to a bowl to step up and ignore tie-ins or Boise to quit demanding it be played in Boise.

Bradford won the heisman today guys.

i really think that the "texas got screwed" sentiment got it for mccoy

and i'll take your bet on florida winning and not getting in, by the way. i just can't figure out how that would happen

Well Florida's what fifth in the computers? The problem is that the computers use a relatively discrete formula in the BCS poll. The pollsters component is relatively continuous. Florida will be #1 in the Coaches and #2 in the Harris. Texas will probably be #3 in both, but if you actually do what the BCS formula does to those. Really for all practical purposes Florida, Texas and Oklahoma will be tied for 2nd in the polls so it will come down to the computers. Period.

The real answer here is Gary Pinkel doing the honorable thing and saying that because his team lost to Texas and embarrassed themselves by losing to Kansas that they will give Texas their spot in the Big XII title game. The Big XII and SEC title games are our national semifinals and winners move on. Everyone wins.

Sorry TT.
