Let's not get to excited after this win. This team is still not good. Kyle Orton still appears to have some affects of the injury, but in reality, our WR are just so poor I think that is finanlly starting rear it's ugly head.

Rashied Davis is not an NFL WR. The guys sucks. Now I know the whole Best Buy worker, to arena league star to corner to WR is a feel good story, but he just sucks. He can't get any type of position on a corner to make a play and was responible for two near INT's today. Darius Heyward Bey please. Thanks

I refuse to award non-accompishments.

Well they barely beat a worse Detroit team at home a few weeks back, starting a huge stretch of bad play. At least we won this convincingly on the road. Our O-line opened holes and protected Orton decently, our pass rush showed signs of life, our secondary had 4 interceptions, our RB looked really good and broke a long run, etc etc. Even if this is a really really bad team that has given up (as Detroit is when we barely beat them), we beat them up and blew them out. So just enjoy it for 10 minutes and hope that we can carry it into next week.

It's not a non-accomplishment, it's just not a real impressive accomplishment. I'll take an NFL win against anybody, but the fact is this ballclub would have to play much, much better than they've shown to win up in Minny next week.

The Vikes actually looked pretty damn good against Jax today. The Jags aren't really all that special, but they are certainly a higher quality opponent than the Rams and that game wasn't close. Now they get to play at home against a struggling defense and a team that appears to have just acquired a new group of injuries (in addition to Orton's already-injured ankle).

It's not a real good scenario coming up for us, unfortunately. We'll see what happens, but right now it looks like advantage Vikes.

I wasn't that impressed seeing the highlights and followin the game. The Vikings scored 14 points less than 2 minutes into the game by 2 stupid fumbles by the Jags, one returned for a TD, and one was on a kickoff deep in Jags territory. They did outplay the Jags from the rest of the game on, but the score isn't indicative of how they played.

Leaving the Dome yesterday I was more relieved than anything. If the Bears lost this game, the season was over.

The Rams D is just gutless against the run though. This has been going on the last few seasons. Poor tackling, lack of effort. It was all embodied in that third-down run Forte had where he broke about five arm tackles to get the first down.

It was a fun game to see in person, obviously. The Dome was overrun with Bears fans, and after the 1st quarter what Rams fans were there were very quiet. I love that the Rams had 4-5 false start penalties in their own house.

Ugh. Zaidman on the morning show today ranting on & on about how great a win this was, and how it was the "elixir" for all the Bears problems.

Huh?

It was a win against a crappy team. It doesn't erase the poor showing a week before against an actual quality opponent, Zach.

At one point he's being asked "can you tell me how Chris Williams did?" And he's so involved in his little rant he doesn't even realize he's being asked a question.

Dude. Lay off the 2 pots of early morning coffee or something.

A pass to the ****. Brilliant !!

edit: why the hell does the word filter not like full back ?

Delayed response, but it doesn't like words that start with f and also end with k.

Hard to be terribly enthusiastic about this one. It was like playing a JV team out there. I'm still worried about the D-line. The penetration that we got was because of stunts and such...confusing a bad O-line. But our D-line wasn't overpowering anyone, which is worrysome.

Hester had a nice game, but he still looks slow in comparison to himself the last couple of years. I liked Manning on kickoff returns. That's about all I got one this game. That's as gimme as you get.

They are a speed line and have never overpower anybody.

Ok...true...I guess I just mean that it seemed when they got to the QB, they were doing it as a result of trickery rather than beating their man. I could just be thinking of that one Ogunleye stunt though...

They did do a good job of blitzing right into blockers again. I hate when this team blitzes.

When they played the Colts, they did a great job pressuring Manning...confusing the Colts line with different looks, sometimes blitzes, sometimes dropping back. What did they change since then, and why did they change it? Or are teams just familiar enough with it that it's not working?

I just got back St. Louis and I was not impressed at all with the Bears in yesterday's game. It wasn't a Bears victory, it was a Rams loss as they handed the games to the Bears on a silver platter. I was also not impressed with the Bears D-line.

It was cool to see tons of Bears fans down there and we had a good time tailgating. Did anyone come down in that big group of like 8 charter buses parked north of the dome? They looked to be having a good time.

Detroit may have worse talent, but they are at least giving an effort. The Rams are just completely apathetic and worthless.

It looked to me (I was there) that the Bears quit being aggressive and trying to go down field and score about halfway thru the 3rd quarter. I could be wrong about that since I was looking at it in person but that's just how it seemed to me. I think if they had wanted to, they probably could have scored another 10-14 points just with a little more aggressive play calling..

I though the same thing. The coaches and the players eased up on the throttles big-time.
