well that was fun

Seriously that was unreal. Well it looks like the BCS is in for some fun the next couple of weeks. Plus I have to cheer for OU one more week  . Anyways at hopefully Bradford will decide to go to the NFL now  .

This I don't understand...why?

If OU loses, then it's a tie between Texas and Tech for the South, Tech wins the tiebreaker head-to-head..

Yes, though I guess its possible that even if Tech went to the Big 12 Championship and won Texas could still somehow be ahead of them and #2 in the BCS after the title game.

I think it's more likely they get to #2 by Tech losing the B12 Championship.

Or OU losing in the Big 12 Championship. There is a good possibility that I will be a Mizzou fan in a couple of weeks ;-).

Big day for FSU.

Myron Rolle is awarded a Rhodes Scholarship, the team wins big over MD, and BC beats Wake - and loses their starting QB for the last game, when they would need to beat MD. I like our chances of getting to the ACC Championship game. I wonder if we could get Penn State again in the Orange Bowl down in Miami ...

And it's officially Florida week now. Woot!

3 missed PAT's. Seriously?

It's true. Cal Poly's kicker is not good at all.

So disappointing. I'm not sure why the Cal Poly coach sent him back out there. He'd already missed two kicks in the game and the coach sent out the guy who does the kickoffs to try a 46-yarder at the end of regulation even though his long in high school was 46 yards. The guy's kick was 15 yards short.

Then you get into overtime and you score right away. Why not just go for two? Your QB has rushed for 118 yards on the day and you just threw a 25-yard TD pass to Ramses Barden on the first play of OT. Why not stick with the Wing-T and do a option run or throw a fade route to your 6-foot-6 wideout who is one of the top WR's in the nation?

SAMMIE STROUGHTER!!! GO BEAVERS!

I realize that you're a UCLA guy so you hate USC, but the Rose Bowl will be a complete and utter waste of 3 1/2 hours if Oregon State wins the Pac-10. It will be even worse than USC slaughtering Illinois last year.

Something else kind of interesting, Oklahoma could go to the title game if they win next week and in the Big 12 title game. But if they win next week and Texas Tech and Texas win out (with Tech winning the Big 12 title game), how far does Oklahoma drop in the bowls? They'd finish in fourth place in the Big 12 South since both them and Oklahoma State would be 10-2, 6-2 but OSU would have the tiebreaker.

Kind of weird that Oklahoma could finish anywhere from first (by virtue of the tiebreaker and would get into the Big 12 title game) to fourth.

I knew Iowa was a better team than Minnesota but was a little worried about last night. 55-0 was just ridiculous.

Shonn Greene the first Big Ten back since Autry in '95 to have 100 yards in all Big Ten games and broke Iowa's single season record. 100 yards in all 12 games is just nuts. 278 carries for 1,729 yards, a 6.2 average for the year and 17 touchdowns.

I just really hope he gets an invite to New York. He has no chance at winning but he's the best running back in the country hands down and should be there.

The only negative yesterday was Arizona blowing that game with OSU. It would have guaranteed a New Year's bowl. Need Oregon to beat them next week now. Other than that, Iowa State fell to 0-8 in Big 12, the Zooker capped a losing season, Wisky embarrassed themselves, and now we get to listen to ND fans whine about how they need a new coach again. Oh I wish we had any of Andy's hundreds of posts on Charlie following his hiring and first year or two.

Curtis Enis did it in 97

Then why did they keep showing the split screens of Greene and Darnell Autry that showed the 8 games with 100+ yards? I was watching with a loud group so I couldn't hear everything they were saying but I thought that's what they were getting at.

I think Autry was the last Big Ten back to rush for 100+ in every game, not just the Big Ten season. or something like that

Poor Texas.

Yep, right now on pace to be the #3 team after Conference Championships. There are still several scenarios to get them into the title game luckily, and its possible. Just need one upset.

Hawkeyecub, I'd like to see anyone not get pumped up over what looked like a sea change to Notre Dame in Weis's first two years. Clearly, Brady Quinn had a lot more to do with 2005 and 2006 than anyone wanted to admit at the time.

Ball State finally beats a decent team, which people have been calling for forever - on the road, no less - and they drop in the polls. That's cool.
