I just received my postseason ticket invoice. Yikes! Those are some jacked up prices. The postseason invoice is almost as much as my full 81 game regular season package.

My tickets aren't anywhere near the same amount but I have the bleacher night/weekend combo package. And $200/each for World Series tickets? I would be shocked if they went for less than 10x face value on StubHub. Then again, I could never sell WS tickets. But $75 for WC/NLDS and $126 for NLCS are extremely reasonable IMO.

What's with the $50 shipping charge? I asked my rep if we lose that if no games are played. Also, I mentioned that $50 shipping if they only play the WC game is ridiculous. $150 in tickets. $50 in shipping. Really?

Um, the prices are really, really low in terms of what they will be selling for on the secondary market.

Also, FYI, I just learned a couple of weeks ago that we can buy single game tickets from our reps for the same price as a the season ticket price with no additional fees! This is awesome since dynamic pricing is used.

I bought a whole bunch of tickets for my dad's 50th birthday at less than half of what it would have cost me on StubHub or Cubs.com.

can we buy additional playoff tickets too?

I do not believe so, but maybe the full season plans will be able to? I have the combo. The letter (which is the same letter for both plans) doesn't say anything about buying additional tickets.

It's kind of funny that they're billing both a wild card play in game and 3 division series games, especially since the wild card game and the division series are the same price.

Why is that weird? If they win the WC game they would have a max of 3 home games in the NLDS.

They'd have a max of 2 home games in the NLDS if they win the WC game.

Maybe the entire city of St. Louis will burn down forcing games to be played elsewhere. Assuming I can secure the funding.

The NLDS isn't best of 7?

I haven't been a baseball fan in a long time, obviously. I am a Cubs fan. The last time I closely followed playoff baseball was 2008.

and we got swept 3-0 two times in a row so it should be extra memorable

I still think it was cowardly to forfeit that 4th game no matter how many times you call me a meatball for sayin' it

Hasn't there been talk of expanding the division series to 7 games? Oh well, I've never claimed to be an expert. I'll worry about the NLDS situation after the Cubs win the Wild Card game.

Not any serious talk, and the playoffs really can't expand any more or the World Series will be getting played in mid-November.

The Royals did the same thing last year. I think they do it to save for confusion when it comes to refunds for games not played.

Or, they're all rich dudes who are investing the money and making interest off it while they hold it for us.

And then I'm sure they'll just apply the refunds as a credit for next year's tickets.
