Part of me wants the Dodgers to win it all in 11 straight games, just so I can make myself believe that the Cubs would have beaten anyone but them. But the majority of me can't handle Manny vs. the Red Sox (who I know will beat the Rays, simply because I don't want them to).

I thought Id be for the Phillies, but I find myself not caring at all, and more interested in what the Cubs do in the off season than what 4 teams I could care less about do the next few weeks.

The thing is, I wish nobody could win. Honestly, I guess I want the NL to win, but I can't stand Philly or LA. The thought of three of the four expansion teams in my life winning the WS (one of them twice and at our expense) and the other one making it before the Cubs do is just infuriating. I'm really tired of the Red Sox. So, I'm just annoyed by the whole thing.

At the risk of sounding like I care, what is the score and inning?

3-2 Phillies, top 9th.

So that's what it looks like when a team shows resilience, takes advantage of mistakes and comes back against a good pitcher.

It could also be what it looks like when Lowe has to face a quality lefty bat in a big situation.

and when the starting pitcher actually throws the ball over the plate.

Suck it, Dodgers.

The office was so pumped up 30 minutes ago when Ethier scored. Now, not so much. :D
