Noah is exciting. He excites my anger whenever he touches the ball and shoots with two hands.

Tyrus is exciting when he's not handling the basketball. Ben Gordon has one of the prettiest jumpshots in the NBA. The only thing wrong about the Bulls is Luol Deng.

It isn't that I like basketball more than hockey because I watched the Hawks over the Bulls towards the middle of last season. I just think this Bulls team is fun to watch despite their poor record.

The Bulls have the pieces to be a good team now, and the roster at this point in the year is much better constructed than it was 3 weeks ago.

 

However, they don't look like they have any sort of offensive or defensive game plan, and that really reflects poorly on coaching. This team can beat anybody at home and lose to anybody on the road, which to me indicates that they live off crowd support and officiating more than any concrete game plan.

i agree with the other guy. this thread is bi-polar as hell. everytime the bulls go on a mini win streak suddenly they've got "some exciting pieces" and "things are coming together". then they blow a game to a bottom feeder and go back to sucking and everyone admits that really this team is a mess.

It's unfortunate that Gordon got labeled as a bad defender (deservedly so) as a rookie and now can't shake that label despite the fact that he's improved his defense to the point that he's about an average defender now. Perception matters more than reality, I guess.

 

And Noah has been playing very well for a while now. ~10 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in ~30 minutes for the past few months. Not sure what more people expect out of a player like him (granted, he needs to come into next season in better shape). And I don't even like Joakim Noah at all.

 

And the funny thing about "most of Tyrus's game" is the fact that much (if not most) of his game is very good. He's a difference maker who can fill up the stat sheet with ridiculous frequency. It's a few (major) parts of it that are very flawed that keep him from being great.

 

Paxson is another one I don't totally agree with but it's an argument I know I can't win (actually, neither is BG's defense, or any of these, for that matter).

I guess I'm crazy for thinking that 10.1 PPG and 6.1 RPG does not equal filling up the stat sheet with ridiculous frequency.

 

This man is a fantasy basketball gold mine actually. Luckily he was available in both my leagues (weird considering he fills up the stat sheet, which is what fantasy is about) so I just picked him up.
