Jason Goff on the Score tonight said that he doesn't think Derrick Rose has the killer instinct needed to be one of the best players in the league. He has talent, but Goff doesn't see his killer instinct and needs to take over games from the beginning to the end more often.

I think it is a little early to make those pronouncements. Have you seen players strengthen their "killer instinct" over time?

I agree with Goff though. Rose can get to the cup anytime he wants. I was watching the game against the Bucks about a week and a half ago and whenever he wanted to drive on Sessions, he could get two points at will. Why he doesn't do that more often, I have no idea. Rose needs to become more selfish because he definitely has the talent to be a top 10 player in the league.

Well we might have one Fall team make the playoffs... keep it up Bulls!

I thought you wanted them out of Chicago?

You must have missed my following post... but yea, sometimes I do... then they show flashes of brilliance then tank for 5 game straight and make me want them out of here.

It's really not that simple. I mean, if it was, Kobe and LeBron would average 60 points a game.

I was exaggerating a bit, but he needs to be more aggressive and less unselfish. I remember people were saying the same things about LBJ his rookie year too and he obviously learned quite well.

This Bulls team is more fun to watch than the Hawks IMO. Even before the Hawks starting sucking I thought this.

dont lie

I've been watching the Bulls over the Hawks all season if they're both playing at the same time. The Bulls are in just about every game this season and I'm having a good time following Rose's progress.

I can't agree with that. To me, having fun watching a team is connected with the talent on the court/ice. The Hawks have more talent.

all that means is that you likebasketball more than hockey

so a horrible team with a horrible coach is more exciting than a team that was high scoring, fast, young, exciting, and 3rd best in the conference for most of the season?

you're just mad because the hawks are tanking. you know that they've been more fun to watch than the bulls this season.

But as of now, both teams are in the playoffs. That would make for an exciting late April and May. As the baseball season gets started, having two more Chicago teams in the playoffs is exciting. Unfortunately, both teams look like they will be quick outs.

The Bulls aren't a horrible team and have one of the most exciting young players in the game. I have a lot of fun watching them too. The fact that they're frustrating and inconsistent doesn't make them horrible. They have a nice, deep and versatile roster right now and I wouldn't be surprised to see them make some noise in the playoffs (not win, but put up a fight, much like the 05-06 team did to Miami).

Whether or not they're more fun to watch than the Hawks is a pointless argument not even worth getting into because you're not comparing apples to apples. There's no way to adjust for how much one likes one sport over the other. I've tried to build up an interest in hockey this season and have been mildly (to use the term generously) successful. I'd much rather watch the 2000-2001 Bulls than the 91-92 Blackhawks. I'm not sure what I'm trying to illustrate there other than the fact that it's pointless to make comparisons across sports like that. /rant

Would be nice if they actually played good then. Right now the Bulls are more fun to watch IMO because the Hawks are doing their best impression of a non-playoff NHL team.

One team is winning more frequently than the other, right now. That is the only reason you can say the Bulls are "more fun".

There's a woman in my office dying for the Bulls to lose, so her Knicks can make the playoffs. She tries to talk to me about it but I keep telling her I don't care.

Just think...if the Bears could have executed for 11 seconds in Atlanta we'd be talking about all five Chicago teams in the playoffs within a 6 month period. Don't think that's ever happened.

Obviously we're getting into semantics with the "horrible"stuff, but the point is that when you're fighting for the last playoff spot in the Eastern Conference, you're pretty damn crappy.

Derrick Rose is the ONLY thing exciting about this team. Getting excited about anything else really seems like looking through rose colered glasses to me, and that includes Tyrus. Bill Simmons has said it best multiple times: "Derrick Rose is like a $500,000 Maybach parked in the driveway of a $200,000 house in the middle of nowhere."

Yeah obviously you can get more excited about which sport you like most. The point is that all the Bulls have given this season is Rose and a chance at making the playoffs as an 8 seed and getting dominated in the first round. Meanwhile, the Hawks have been a top team in the Western Conference for most of the season and actually have a chance to make noise in the playoffs. The Bulls are a joke. The Hawks aren't. And this is coming from a person who grew up being obsessed with the Cubs and Bulls, not the Blackhawks.

I am beginning to think that Salmons is exciting.

Noah is exciting. He excites my anger whenever he touches the ball and shoots with two hands.

$200,000 could get you a pretty nice house in the middle of nowhere. What's wrong with owning an expensive car there?

I guess there is no one to show it off to out there.
