Amare is like top 8 players in the league

I don't know about that.

Actually what I mean to say is that I do know about that. It's wrong.

I'm not saying Amare is a bad player, he's definitely a star and more talented currently than anyone on the Bulls, but people that are making him out to be one of the top few players in the league is wrong.

He's a talented scorer no doubt, but he's not a complete player. His defense is worse than Drew Gooden's.

He's also one of most efficient offensive players in NBA history. There's little to hate about his offensive game. He has range to 18 feet, gets to the line a lot (and is now an 80%+ shooter there), and he shoots an exceptionally high percentage. His TS% and eFG% numbers are off the charts. He also plays better in the playoffs.

I have questions about him too and his defense is a significant flaw. But I have a lot more confidence in him being at least an average defender than I do about Noah or Thomas being average offensive players. Plus his offense is just that good where you live with subpar defense.

I need to be clear in saying I love Amar'e, think he'd be a great fit with Rose but just don't think he is a top 10 player. He's close and he could be with some effort and inspiration, but he isn't right now.

a 23-year old stick figure 4 that averages 9 points per game and shoots 43 percent is probably not a top 45 player, but that's really just nitpicking

NAME 45 THEN.

Jk, I'm drinky but I think factoring in his potential, recent play and lazy guesstimating, I stand by top 45 ish +/- 20.

He's not this year but his 27.61 PER last year was good enough for third best in the NBA.

Under D'Antoni though.
