I have the Cavs announcers and they are awful. Also, hey look, the Cavs run offensive plays and rotate on defense. I thought you were only allowed taking contested 17 foot jumpers and then stand around on defense.

Do you mean on the radio? The game should only be on TBS for TV.

FSN Ohio

wth? I thought TNT games were national TV games and not broadcast locally. I've never seen a Thursday Bulls game covered by TNT and a local channel.

dunno. didn't even realize it was on another channel. maybe the FSN's have a different contract than CSN

I think the Bulls are a much better team with Hinrich on the floor. He direct traffic, gets people moving, and distributes well. When Rose learns to do this, Hinrich will be expendable, but for now, Kirk is valuable

Also he's one of the more reliable defenders on the team

it was nice to see Deng and Thomas step up with some offense last night. If Rose can effectively do the "drive and dish" it will help Deng a bunch.

on the other hand, I was ready to throw my remote at the TV in the first quarter.....every time Gooden got the ball, he shot it, no matter how far from the basket he was. does he just not care anymore?

There were some wow moments by Tyrus last night, against arguably the best player in the league. I think even LeBron was shocked by that block late in the game.

An unexpected good win last night. Fun to watch.

That's the thing I hate about Tyrus...There's always wow moments because he's a freak...He can't just be decent sometimes it's either horrible or wow

He's been more wow than horrible for the last 2-3 weeks.

I know, but it won't last he's a headcase, but I agree he has been more wow lately

I don't *necessarily* agree. It's more about finding a role to Tyrus to maximize his strengths. He's not going to be a star in the league. The only way he'll be an all star is if he becomes an uber-defensive/hustle guy for a championship contender. But he can be an important piece/solid contributor for a contender if he stays within his game. He's not going to be a jump shooter, he's not going to develop great post moves. He is going to hustle, get rebounds, get steals and get weak side blocks (is a great weak side defender). If he does that, he'll be a better version of Tyson Chandler (meaning that he has more offensive game and better hands than TC).

Thomas is like 4inches shorter than Chandler...I mean I agree he has more of an offensive game than him and has better hands...I think there's a better player to compare him to I just don't know who ha

Tyrus has a better vertical than Tyson meaning he can do many similar things as him. Tyson was a skinny, semi-athletic big with soft hands and a weak frame. Tyrus is a average sized, very athletic player who has a long reach that allows him to play bigger than his actual height. Being shorter didn't stop Ben Wallace or Dennis Rodman from playing a similar (definitely not completely the same) style of ball as Tyson, but doing it better.

yeah, but Tyrus has better hands then Wallace and Rodman as well...I know what your trying to say and I basically agree...I just don't think he'll ever really develop because he's a little to much of a headcase to me

We'll see. I felt like Tyson was trying to do to much in his first few seasons. He was trying to prove he was the number 2 pick and felt like he needed to develop into a superstar. This season Tyrus is recognizing he needs to fit a role for him and his team to be successful. But I could be wrong. Only time will tell.

Pax still messed up bad by not drafting Roy. That being said, I'm not really too heartbroken over not getting Alridge. I already think you have seen his ceiling in this league. He is a big 3, playing the role of a 4, who can't rebound that well. Dime a dozen in the NBA.

I missed that last night. Daaaamn. And yeah, Tyrus has looked pretty good the last couple weeks. It's a wonder what knowing your role and exploiting your skill set can do for a young player.

Kirk was +24 last night. Gordon did nothing offensively and Rose was ice cold most of the game and they still pulled out a W over one of the best teams in the league. Really shows how important Kirk CAN be to the team when he plays efficient ball.

Or Aldridge which we had and traded for Tyrus

For the record, I no longer think Hinrich's contract is terrible.

He can really play with Rose. He seems like he gets how to make it work, probably because he's a smart player and everyone else we have isn't.

I think he will work for this season, but that doesn't mean in a year or two that if we trade him I'll be upset

Well Lindsey Hunter is smart, but he isn't a guy.

Derrick Rose is probably pretty smart, but when you are fantastic you don't have to use adjectives like "smart" to justify your place on a team.

Why do so many clueless Bulls fans like Larry Hughes? Good lord.

(Not in this thread)

I though Larry Hughes was the Todd Hundley of the Bulls. Maybe I'm reading the wrong forums and listening to the wrong people.
