Probably doesn't deserve its own thread, but its the offseason so its not like there are a ton of threads out there.

Ronny Cedeno likely will be on the trade block again after yelling at trainer Mark O'Neal during a nasty exchange before a game in Milwaukee on the final weekend of the regular season.

I'm sure similar things happen all the time, but the fact that its actually being reported by the Trib is interesting.

Especially since the Cubs sometimes are good at pointing out flaws in players publicly right before trading them.

I wish Ronny well if he's traded, but I'm ready to replace him. Let's try someone else. I think we can do better.

agree, I wish Cedeno well, but he isn't very good. He may have the worst baseball instincts of any Cub I have seen.

We need an actual adult at Shortstop. But Ronnie certainly isn't the answer.

Well said. Talent but little instinct. This is some good news I guess.....

Yes, the Cubs should get rid of their cheap 25th man and pay more for another Neifi.

Agree its not the best place to invest money, but we should really have a better option off the bench vs. RH than Ronny Cedeno (when Edmonds is playing)

I want to know more about the confrontation...why would you get into it with Mark O'Neal of all people?

I still chuckle to myself everytime I hear that name...my grade school PE teacher, then hs PE teacher, and assistant football coach to the hs Freshman football team was named Mark O'Neal.

The bold is a situation I would hope we wouldn't find ourselves in ever again.

Yes, we could use a better pinch hitting option vs RHP. No, we shouldn't replace a cheap young backup SS.

why on earth do you need to let stuff like this out? i mean, it's not like there was going to be an uproar when the cubs traded this guy for nothing anyway. stupid cub fans hate him already.

Haha he yelled at somebody oh no.

Ronny made some nice progress this year, he's young cheap and versatile. He's a good 24/25 man. I wouldnt be in a hurry to ship him away without something of value coming back.

Are the Cubs fans stupid in general? Or stupid because they hate Ronny Cedeno?

Hate is a little strong, but it's not stupid to think he's bad at baseball.

Yes.

Or stupid because they hate Ronny Cedeno?

That too.

In context of what he is, yes, it is.

Wonderful, another year of Ryan Theriot basically being Cedeno with less speed, a worse throwing arm, and more singles.

Worse than Ryan Theriot?

Not even close

Because Ryan Theriot didn't make several boneheaded mistakes throughout this season.

Not even close to worse than Theriot is how I'm choosing to read it.
