Sigh, it's hard to convince anyone right now but there's no such thing as a curse. I wish we wouldn't revert to that.

I get yelled at every time I post this, but it needs to be said, now more than ever.

The worst organization in professional sports.

Not even close

You're delusional.

No offense to you personally.

But he's not wrong. There are WORSE run franchises in pro sports....like the Oakland Raiders, Detroit Lions, New York Rangers, New York Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, etc, etc. So the Cubs are clearly not as bad (

tho there not overly great, either) as you claim it to be, Jeff.

This is why I love the Cubs. When one player doesn't do his job (or is thwarted by an evil being like Lee), someone else picks up his slack.

The fact that the players choke every season has nothing to do with the organization. They put a great team on the field.

Sorry, but this is not a great team.

What?

The goal of an organization is to field a team that wins the World Series.

It is NOT to field a team to just do well in the regular season and do nothing in the playoffs. This is not the goal.

Who do you blame after this much ineptitude? The organization. The buck stops there!

This. is. a. choke. job.

You expected anything else from the chokingist franchise in the history of American sports?

1999, 1984, 1989, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2008.

Go to hell, Cubs. Go to hell and die.

This post makes me laugh because you for some reason led off with 1999, a choke no doubt no just really random. And then you went in chronological order.

I'm too busy processing the fact that the Cubs found a way to fit a sliver from each of those choke jobs into a single inning. Tonight. Just happened.

Cubs are done ruining my night...... got other things to do.

Will get score updates time and again... but no sense padding the post count with mindless drivel about about a bunch of choking losers.

I'll keep asking till I get an answer:

What level of underperformance over what sample is needed to suspect an organizational effect?

Surely we can study this statistically instead of just spewing dogma.

You're a god damn moron. If you want to blame it on the pressure that is on the team with the 100 year thing, then fine. But stop acting like the organization is to blame. You sound like an idiot. They built a 97 win team with very few flaws. It's not their fault they're choking.
