Who can the Cubs get to play 1b next season? DLee is finished, I'm afraid.

 

If we could trade Lee, Tex is a FA.

 

Yeah, that was the only one I could think of. Of course, I wanted the Cubs to draft him in the first place.

 

There's always Jason Giambi.

It won't matter. We could have Reyes at short, Beltran in center, and both Peavy and CC and we'd still not make it to the WS.

Trashing the field is embarrasing and ridiculous, but I hope they do it. This piece of trash team deserves to be embarrassed.

 

I hope there's a fight in the dugout too. I want this to get as ugly and comical as possible.

 

I don't want there to be one single thing any dorkwad fan can come along and say "at least..." about.

I'm just so shocked right now. I mean i felt this was our best chance to make it and when it's all said and done, we weren't even close.

 

It really does make one wonder if there really is something to this effing curse and whatnot.

 

How do you be the best team in the NL, 97-wins, all those stats, etc etc etc and just completely wet the bed when it comes to the games that absolutely matter the most? This ain't just a mega-choke job.

I don't even feel like going to Chavez Ravine on Saturday. If USC hadn't lost to Oregon State I would definitely sell my tickets and watch USC/Oregon instead :/

 

Agreed. I really don't want to be around all the drunk Raider fans on Saturday.
