He always says "Reached on an erra" instead of "reached on an error."

God this dude is annoying.

Does he do that to try and sound cool or is he really that stupid?

him commenting on how the white sox crowd was going nuts and the cubs crowd was quite. No s hit that tends to happen when your team is losing.

To be fair, he made that remark before we were losing.

But his point was valid. You can jump all over him all you want, but give him credit when he's right.

"Marshall's only mistake was to Ramirez."

No, Dick, Manny is just the best hitter in baseball and picked that one off the freakin dirt. Anyone who has watched 7 innings of baseball knew that.

Almost every teams stadium would be going nuts in a 1 game playoff. If I recall correctly wrigley field was going nuts during their one game playoff against sf. He was comparing apples to oranges in my opinion so I feel it belongs in the category of dumb things said.

That one foul by a foot at most.

On Edmonds ball that was foul by about an inch.

that was easily my favorite, just because of the inflection he put behind it, like he thought a foot was really, really minute.

"By a foot AT MOST!"

best part of the night that wasn't dero's home run

The crowd was eerily quiet even when the Cubs were winning. There was no reason not to point it out.

There is nothing wrong with pointing out how quite it was, because that is very unusual for a cubs game, and i thought it was weird as well, but to compare it to the white sox game yesterday is what I found dumb.

1. It's quiet, not quite.

2. There are a ton of stupid things that Dick Stockton said and this is what you came up with? Weak.

Some might say pointing out a spelling mistake to start an argument is weak as well.

You "misspelled it" twice. Maybe it's not a misspelling.

I didn't realize this until just now when looking at the box score, but I'm pretty sure Stockton never even mentioned that Daryle Ward pinch hit for Marquis in the ninth inning and said that it was Marquis batting.

I just don't remember him saying the name "Daryle Ward" and I remember thinking it was odd that Marquis was batting. Correct me if I'm wrong.
