I was so young that I don't even remember.

Haha... yeah, I had to look mine up on the net. I remembered the year, the team they played(Braves), and the score, but I couldnt remember the date. Hell, I was only 8 years old.

I don't remember it that much but I've read the box score. Cubs vs Mets, I think 91 or something like that, Doc Gooden pitched and Mark Grace won it on a sac fly.

August 13, 1986

Exciting game that I remember for two things:

1 - Some scrawny no-hit rookie Pirate CF killing the Cubs all day with doubles and stolen bases (Guess who?).

2 - Shawon Dunston capped a comeback from a 5-1 deficit by hitting a go-ahead 2-run HR in the 8th, cementing him immediately as my favorite Cub. Unfortunately, I had to listen to that part on the radio, as we had already left the park. This would be the last time we left the park early outside of weather-related issues.

I was 6 or 7 years old. I don't remember anything about it, sadly. But I went to at least 1 game a year for about 5 years (for a kid from small town Iowa, that was a big deal) and had an uncle with connections so we sat 2 rows behind the visitors dug out. I have some great memories (including some great pictures of Strawberry), but not of the first game.

I wish I knew. I know there are some old ticket stubs at my mom's house, but I doubt I'd be able to figure it out.

My first game was during spring training '85 out in Mesa. My twin brother and I got Ron Cey's autograph. I was star struck. In those days the players and the fans shared a gravel parking lot. I remember my grandfather talking with Ritchie Hebner as we all walked to our cars. My first game at Wrigley was in '86 when the Cubs played the Braves. Dale Murphy hit a few homers, Cubs lost.

I dont remember the date or even the year. Cubs played the Big Red Machine. Cubs won in the 9th with Dave Radar hitting a bases loaded double off the wall. 2-1

Cubs lost 3-2 in 18 innings to the Expos. Luis Salazar got thrown out at some point in extras trying to stretch a single into a double.

Retrosheet calls me a liar. It was 17 innings and no Cub was thrown out trying to stretch a double. Musta been combining a couple games together.

June 23, 1984 (i.e The Sandberg Game)

I was 7, so unfortunately I don't remember much of anything (and I was a Dernier fan so I probably was more focused on him). I still have the ticket stubs from the game. It is my goal to get them autographed by Sandberg, but I am afraid to send it in the mail.

I went to several that I was too young to remember, but the first one I remember was the 20-1 whooping of the Dodgers at Wrigley in 2001. I guess you can say I got off to a good start. :P

I don't even know it was so long ago. Probably 1973 or 1974 when I was 4 or 5 years old. Though I can specifically remember a 1976 game that a neighbor took my friend and I to against the Reds. We sat in the grandstands behind home plate.

My first was when Maddux faced Clemens a few years back. That was my first at Wrigley at least. I went to at least 2 of the 3 games everytime the Cubs played down in Atlanta since it is only a 3 hour drive for me.
