UMFan posted this in the postseason dates thread, but I thought a new thread would bring more attention to it

Wow. That um, frigging sucks. I'm hoping to make it to Thursday's game, but I didn't think I'd have to skip class for it.

Wait, am I missing something or are all NL playoff games during the day?

The AL is getting higher priority for TBS. My guess is because the ALCS is on TBS this year, and TBS wants to showcase those teams in the first round to get better ratings for the ALCS.

Oh what the hell. I hate missing Cubs games while I'm at school, let alone games as big as playoff games.

That's hot ass.

This is the 2nd year in a row TBS has pulled some wank schedule out. They need to not be broadcasting baseball, like, ever.

It's gonna rock to miss games 1 and 2 because I'm sitting at my desk listening to my moronic co workers piss and moan about everything.

TBS broadcasting baseball is like the idiot co-worker who insists he (or she) get a fair shot at performing some task that someone else does perfectly capably, despite the fact that everyone knows said co-worker will screw it up beyond comprehension if given a shot. Last year's playoffs were a miasmatic cacophony of technical errors and terrible announcing "talent" (Dick Stockton ftl) and this was after they scheduled last season's All-Star Selection Show to air AFTER a Braves/Marlins game IN MIAMI IN MID-JULY. No way that gets delayed by rain and/or terrible relief pitching, right, TBS? And even better, ESPN decided to screw the waiting around for TBS' incompetence and run the names of the starters, causing TBS to whine to MLB and getting ESPN removed from their on-field coverage of the Game.

Terrible all around. The Division Series games weren't great on ESPN, but I don't recall them being this poorly scheduled.

Playoff baseball at Wrigley in the sunshine?

How the hell can you complain about that? That's perfect - listen to it on the radio or follow along on mlb.tv or whatever.

I can't believe people are getting pissy about playoff times.

I can complain about it because I don't give a rats ass about the nostalgia/old timey happy fun memoryness of day baseball at Wrigley. I care about 75% of the fanbase being able to see the game without having to miss work. I care about me seeing the game without having to miss work. It pisses me off. It's bs that the biggest ratings draw will likely be on at the worst possible time.

Glad I'm unemployed.

angry refugees burn down your place of business?

9.8

really? degree of difficulty was relatively low with that one

But degree of awesomeness and accuracy was high. Tree grabbed the opportunity and ran with it, which is what champions do.

if it's at 1:30 wednesday, i'm probably going to miss the entire freaking game. i guess playoff baseball goes four hours quite a bit, so maybe i'll catch an inning.

execution was nearly flawless, but I don't think I'd go over 9.25

I had been planning on taking a personal day or two coming up, but I don't think I could pull both wednesday and thursday off without people pissing and moaning.

1:30 is just ridiculous. the 3pm one is at least sort of passable, as it's toward the end of a workday.

EDIT:

Those times were EDT. That start is 12:30 central, which is dumber than making Frostwyrm Obama's bodyguard.
