Clinching on Friday afternoon against the Cardinals doesn't sound bad at all.

At least I can watch all 3 games this weekend.

Earliest clinch is now Friday night with a Brewers loss.

Do not want. Clinch with a win.

Wow, the Astros have really tanked since the smack-down in Wrigley North. Lost again tonight 14-2 (and Ricky Nolasco gets #14 tonight).

I thought that was #15 for Nolasco.

Here's our plan for the next three days:

Win tomorrow vs. Brewers; Magic Number down to 2

Win Friday vs. Cardinals & Brewers win vs. Reds; Magic Number down to 1

Win Saturday vs. Cardinals; CLINCH

Sound good? :D

Just clinch whatever way it comes.

But the Brewers game is at night... Will probably end at about 11 central.

Cubs won't be able to celebrate on the field.

Unless they go a few extras - or the final score is like 21-18 - just how long do you expect the game to take? Brew @ Cincy game on Friday night starts at 6p CST.

The offense is really due for one of those "score bunches of runs" games

So in only 2 of our last 16 games we've scored more than 6 runs, and 6 of our last 16 games we've scored more than 4 runs.

Just read the game summary in the Trib, pretty disappointed the Cubs weren't able to take advantage of the Brewer bullpen over 7+ innings, oh well, magic number will be down to 2 after today.

The right pitcher is on the mound for Milwaukee for the Cubs offense to explaud. The Cubs have hurt Bush this yr by a tune of 13 runs in 12.2 IPs, or a 8.53 era. Not to mention Bush has a very average era of 4.36 against the Cubs in his career, add in the fact that Bush is 1-5 lifetime against the Cubs , today could be a very good day offensively. With that said, Bush does have a respectable 3.71 era in two lifetime starts at Wrigley, but is 0-2.

So I predict a romp----14-4 Cubs.
