Game 4 of the '03 NLDS was a Saturday afternoon game I believe.

it was relatively early.

best day of my life, OU demolished texas during the day and then Aramis hit a grand slam and the cubs wailed on the marlins.

both seasons went downhill from there.

Someone's thinking of game 4 of the NLCS

Game 4 of the NLCS had to be like a 6 pm start.

Good news, my wife won the raffle to get to buy tickets. Bad news, she didn't check her spam email until 8pm last night. Double bad news, after I bought standing room only for game 1, I look at my calendar this morning and realize I have the dumbest court hearing ever that I probably can't get out of.

Apparently, I may be trying to sell them if I can't get another attorney to cover for me. :banghead:

So I haven't gotten an email either way....did I register right? Maybe I should register again....

I called them yesterday to make sure my acceptance wasn't "lost in the mail", but the really rude lady on the phone told me that if I was accepted I would have gotten an email, and not all people would have received rejection emails for some reason. I'm not sure if thats the truth or if she was making up some excuse to get me off the phone, but that's the explanation I got.

Mizzou will buy them (so he can resell them)

The lesson for next time: don't commit felonies

Maybe this will show that getting selected for the Cubs lottery is harder than we even realize.

From my inbox yesterday:

Dear Rays Fan,

Recently, you registered on raysbaseball.com for the chance to purchase tickets for 2008 postseason games to be played at Tropicana Field. Unfortunately, your entry was not selected for the chance to purchase tickets to Home Game 1 and Home Game 2 of the ALDS

Are you kidding me? I must have been one of what, 39 people to have actually registered for that lottery?

I'm an attorney it is not court for me, its a civil matter that we are going to lose anyways which is why I think it is the dumbest court hearing ever.

But yes, good lesson, say no to felonies.

Yes, that'd work out much better. I'll have to see if my wife can get out of work on thursday/friday.

You betcha!

I love how people consistently single me out for this when plenty of others on this site do the exact same thing. I'm just not afraid to be vocal about it, I guess. If presented the opportunity to make $500 by spending an hour buying and selling baseball tickets, you're damn right I'll do it.

If dear old dad wanted to go so badly, he'd have gotten his own damn tickets.

Since I'm back in school, I basically covered my summer expenses by re-selling tickets this year.

I agree with Mizzou on this subject generally, except it was pretty damn funny when he asked for the password on here so he could try to buy tickets to resell.

According to this article, 600,000 signed up for the Cubs lottery and fewer tickets were available this year than last, even with none going to WFPTS.

Looks like I can't use those either as she cannot get out of work on Friday (we live a 7-8 hour drive away). So I'll have to sell them on Stubhub.

They just released more seats for Game 5 on Cubs.com. Hurry before they sell out!!!!!! Bleachers still available

Wow, good find. I wish Game's One or Two were for sale, as I can't see the Cubs going to a game 5. What's the return policy on these? Do you have to mail them in or will they just refund your card?
