I hate to hear this. My childhood days, especially in the summer, went as follows:

 

wake up early, go play baseball.

 

Come home around 1:30 and watch the cubs.

 

Go play baseball.

 

Come home around 6:30, eat dinner, watch the braves.

 

 

I heard Harry's and Skip's voices almost as much as my own family's voices.

Same way with me. I became a Brave fan and a Cub fan largely from listening to Harry and Skip almost daily.

 

Sad to see him go.

If I were Chip I'd probably be feeling a bit nervous in 2018 (especially if I had any health issues that seemed minor but had the potential for something going wrong).
