So this is where the lack of patience beats us. Had we not swung at everythig in sight in the first 3 innings, the rain could have kicked in at the middle or op of the 5th.

 

Personally, I think that 7 innings should be when the games made official. I think it would be fair to consider a game official after 7, or after 5 if 1 team has a 5 run lead.

Indeed. It's sad that we are wishing that a 36 year old journeyman would get out of a game. But that's how the Cubs roll against scrub pitchers.

Since I refuse to pay for cable tv, I get to watch Fox Saturday baseball, and games on WCIU. Out of that tiny few, this one's gonna get rained out possibly. Suck.
