Listening to WLW out of Cincinnati this afternoon on my way to work on XM, as I do every now and then, and the big topic of conversation is wild rumors about CPatt dating Dusty's daughter. One woman even called in and said she had credible sources tell her that CPatt was married to Dusty's daughter... Nothing really baseball worthy in all of this but a big LOL.

That would explain a lot...

But lol at the source -- from the Reds' official message board:

I had just left a reds game a few days ago and while i was in an elevator, this guy started talking about how he had heard that Corey Patterson (29 years old) was dating Dusty's daughter, Natosha (28 years old i think)... He then went on to talk about how he heard that this is why Dusty keeps him on the roster... Now i can't say i have heard this from anyone else, so its hard for me to believe, but has anyone heard of anything like this???

Then the other posters began to rip into the poster because she's a woman.

Why doesn't Dusty have his own reality show yet?

he'd make the Osbournes look rational

Seriously they need to make Oakland hire him and then film a season of he and Beane trying to coexist.

I'd watch a Dusty reality show just to see if he ever explained that damn fishing quote.

That quote is like fishing, dude. You go out there on the boat and wait for the fish, man, and that's how you gotta take the quote.

Don't know about son-in-law, but he's the CF and leadoff man with Griffey gone. CP's already set a few Red's Records for futility, let's see if he can give Mendoza a run for his money with a few hundred more ABs.

OK...so maybe my brain is just fried after a three day long BAR exam and so my sarcasm-detector is defective, but I can't tell if the sponsor of C-Patt's B-R page is serious or not...

Corey Patterson's Biggest Fan sponsor(s) this page.

Corey oozes with so much talent that he makes the game look easy. He doesn't like to slide back into first on pickoff attempts because they are an insult to him. He never fully extends on his dives in the outfield because he simply does not have to.

I'm almost (99.99999%) sure it's sarcasm.

Dusty's daughter must not like Louisville.

If I'm taking it the right way that's a good joke. Not sure many others will get it.

I missed it the 1st time until you posted.

If this is true, then it's hysterical while explaining a lot at the same time.

Yep it sure would. Like why the former Cincy GM was ordered from above to sign Patterson to a contract for 3.5 million. A sum that C. Patt is hardly worth.
