Yes....we're going to find a way to lose this one after all. I knew they'd pull through.

Losing is what this team does best. After all, they have a reputation to uphold.

seriously?

When did you start following the Cubs?

Once again. THIS team refers to 2008 no?

Not that it matters. The Cubs have 16 pennants, over 10,000 wins, a well over .500 all time record... but none of that matters because they haven't managed to win a WS in 100 years.

Does anyone honestly care about the WS drought? I've been watching the Cubs for 13 years. I don't care what they did before then. Those of you that have been watching for 30-40 years, I understand the frustration, but that's still nowhere near 100 and there are plenty of teams that have been more futile over the recent past than the Cubs. I'm pretty sure nobody here has been waiting anywhere near 100 years for a championship.

All the 100 years crap is just media and fan nonsense. It gives other team's fans (bogus) ammunition to talk trash. That's about it. If they had won a WS in 84 or 89, I'd be no more satisfied or happy as a Cubs fan than I am right now. Case in point, Brewer fans can talk all the crap they want about 100 years, but I'm pretty sure a lot of them haven't even seen a postseason series in their lifetimes.

Lou needs to blow his stack, and the fact that he hasn't by now really says something.

Maybe because they botched hit and run was primarily his fault.

It says that in the whole scheme of things it is 5 freaking games.

I saw "caught stealing"....with Aramis Ramirez on first....what in the hell just happened?

Cubs decided they wanted to play to the level of their competiton so they are matching them in agressive baserunning outs.

That was Lou's fault that Aramis was even moving.

Lou was sending Aramis... since we all know that everybody must be in motion on 3-2 counts, regardless of how many outs there are, or who the baserunner is.

Doug Davis picked him off first.

I wanted to respond like this but a) couldn't find the Cubs exact overall record and b) didn't have the motivation that you have.

Lou thought it would be a good idea to send Ramirez with a lefty looking right at him and Kosuke facing the same lefty. I'm shocked that it didn't work out.

You're absolutely right.
