CC has 3 complete games in 3 starts. Our entire team has 1 all year. Lou is not a fan of the complete game.

that's not a bad thing. I much rather have reasonable pitch counts.

I bet if CC would be with Milwaukee next year he would have zero CG's. Of course Yost is their manager so who knows.

its honestly minorly embarrassing that we haven't won the world series in 100 but yeah doesn't affect my satisfaction that much

It is an indictment of how poorly anyone and everyone who has run this team in the last 100 years is

Yeah, well, after living through the '84 debacle trust me I would rather have won.

Yea, I'm glad I wasn't around for that...but our generation of fans definitely got our own version of that in '03. I can honestly say I didn't need to find out what it felt like.

The subsequent disastrous collapse of that pitching staff (which would've made us a playoff powerhouse for years to come) over the next few years was the cherry on top.

For me it's seeing these horrible patterns, and then fearing the next repeat.

For example: from my perspective, 2003 & 2004 wound being a replay of '84 and '85 in soooo many ways. Just seeing that history repeat itself like that was incredibly depressing. Then I sit there and go, "OK, this is the next '03 right?" ".....and here comes the next '85!!"

It's bad, I know. But I can't help it. I feel like I've seen these same couple movies too many times. I'd rather not see yet another sequel, know what I mean?

Ahh, warning track...we meet again. How frustrating.

Ted Lilly looks like Super Mario when he runs.

This is completely OT, but it's funny to see how ethnically offensive that game was when it first came out.

Briefly explain please.

You stomp on goombahs, a sort of ethnic slur for Italians. You had the mustaches, and even now when Mario speaks, he says "It's-a me! Mario" in bad english. Oh, and he and Luigi are always eating pasta.

I am not at all offended by it, but I could see how it could raise a few eyebrows.

Don't take what I say too seriously right now. I should have been in bed an hour ago.

If we hit the ball as deep as we have in this series back at Wrigley, the good Cubs will make a come-back.

Yeah, but you also realize that that's totally irrational, and stupid magic and pixie dust like that isn't real, and what happened 24 years ago has no bearing on what's happening right now.

If I never see a camera shot of the Chase Field warning track again, it'll be too soon.

I think you typed the exact opposite of what you meant.
